CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE TACKLES BUDGET CRISIS: A Lesson To Be Learned

The California State Legislature is taking a fresh and rather unique approach to solving the state’s budget crisis. Faced with impending budget cuts and angry special interest groups, the Assembly decided it has had enough. On Thursday, February 25th, the Assembly decided to fight back by passing…. a no cussing law.


That’s right, the Assembly approved a ceremonial resolution turning the first week of March into "Cuss Free Week." And the State Senate has vowed to also pass the legislation.


And we pay these guys to run our government? Does every government official turn into an ignoramus after being elected?

THE REAL SHOWDOWN AT THE REAL OK CORRAL

Tomorrow, all eyes will be on the Blair House and President Obama’s apparent sham theatrics regarding passage of the Health Care Bill. I’m not going to dwell on it; what happens, happens. It does disgust me that the Administration has made the health care plan the focal point of all of its energy for over a year, while millions of Americans have been out of work and losing their homes, and that Obama seems hell-bent on getting the damned bill passed even if 100% of Americans should be against it.

But, the real showdown is not the battle between Obama’s selfish grab for power and the will of the American people. The real action involves a three-way hoedown with the United States, Israel and Iran. And right now, the chief dancer on the floor with all of the cards seems to be Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
During this year of Health Care battles of will, things in Iran have progressed from, “We’re building a nuclear energy program,” to “We do have two nuclear facilities and we are enriching uranium beyond 20% and we do have missiles and we‘re not talking about our warheads…yet and, if you try to do anything about it, you’ll regret it.” On our side of the dance floor, we’ve progressed from, “Straighten out your act or you’re going to face sanctions,” to “Straighten out your act or you’re going to face sanctions.” As for Israel, they’ve been given the finger by Iran and they’ve been fluffed off by our President, and they seem more than ready and willing to launch a preemptive strike on Iran; nevertheless, the rumor is that Obama told them they’d better not fly over Iraqi air space to do it, or they might get shot down.

So here we are with a major international crisis on our hands and we’re still holed up in back rooms trying to threaten, barter and buy enough votes to get the health care plan passed?

The dance orchestra is playing rotten music and I think it’s way past time for the clowns to get out of the tent.

ATTENTION WASHINGTON! TAKE YOUR DAMNED HEALTH CARE PLAN

And shove it.  We are sick and tired of your lies, your tricks, your misinformation, your disinformation and your manipulations.  We don't want 3,000 pages of your outrageous bull.  We don't want to pay for someone else's abortion.  We don't want attorneys to keep getting rich at our expense.  We don't want escalating prescriptions costs.  We don't want higher taxes.  We don't want to pay for health care for your illegal alien friends.  We don't want elderly people taking it in the shorts. 

And we don't want any government, especially "your" government, telling us what we have to spend our hard-earned money on.  You have no right to do these things to us and we will not tolerate your form of terrorism, either. 

WASHINGTON: THE LOONY BIN

Mindless idiots are in control of our government. That’s right: we’ve allowed a bunch of lunatics to take charge of our national security, our economy, our freedoms and our destinies. The proof of the pudding is that when Senator Evan Bayh, one of the few half-sane people left on The Hill, announced that he’s had enough with the funny farm, all of the inmates started running around like headless chickens and calling him the bad guy.

There Obama and his flock of mindless sheep stand, surrounded by bad news. Iran relentlessly rattles its nuclear sabres, the economy continues on the precipice of perilous calamity, millions of jobless are suffering through their 10th or 11th month of joblessness, commercial and housing foreclosures are about to shove the mortgage holders and banks back into the abyss… and Obama’s henchmen are gathered behind closed doors with Congressional leaders, scheming on how to get the damned health care plan passed. Every time an angry America shouts “No more health care, get us some jobs!” Washington’s collective eyes glaze over and their brains go on vacation.

Our leaders have either taken total leave of their senses, or they are very deeply buried in total denial. The nation is deeply in debt and we are going to have to spend billions more dollars to install rubber padding in the halls of Congress. Any day now, I expect Obama to announce that it’s time for the nation to quit driving gas guzzlers and to start driving Toyotas. Maybe, if we can get Michelle to teach basket weaving to the asylum’s inhabitants, we can recoup some of our money?

We, the people, imagine that we have a very real fear: What if these worse than senseless beings get run out of Washington and decide to come back and live among us? Will our children and farm animals be safe? Ah, but fear not: they will all become lobbyists and stay in the “Land of the Odd Ones” forever and ever.  The Messiah didn't say that; I did. 

The members of the fourth estate, ever the ones to conceal from us what we should know and to trumpet the ridiculous claims of the so-called pundits, would have us all believe that things are good and well in Washington. They seemingly buy in to the theory that the latest events in Washington are Republican vs. Democrat partisanship. They don’t seem to understand that we, the Astroturf of America, have come to realize that all Washington politicians are the same: regardless of political affiliation, they are corrupt, they are un-American, they are traitors to the ideals they espoused when we elected them, and we want them all out. 

Thanks to our bumbling, self-centered simpletons who have occupied the seats of power in Washington for far too many decades, we have become the laughing stock of the world. We are no longer the strong, fearless proponents of freedom and justice for all, we are the pitiful weak. That is why the tin-horned dictators of the world can get away with what they are getting away with in Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, Somalia….. That is why our American dollar is sinking in value and the pallor of eternal national debt looms on our doorsteps as the call of death to what once was a great country.

Enough is enough. We refuse to be blamed for the tragedy that is unfolding before our eyes any longer. We’re going to do something about this nonsense. We've already begun. 

BIDEN TIPS ADMINISTRATION NAIVETE'

Vice Prez Joe Biden, amidst snipes at Dick Cheney, said over the weekend that he "seriously doubts" that there will ever be another terrorist attempt against the United States such as the one of 9/11.  Obviously, this is the Administration position and they are playing us as  being total fools.  I regret that they are not up for reelection in 2010.  Maybe they should take their brains out and play with them for a little while.....

WHY OBAMA WON’T FINISH HIS FIRST TERM

I think that Obama is so self-absorbed that he has cut off all ties with reality. He fails to recognize that, when everyone else in the country disagrees with him, he’s wrong. He thinks that he didn’t deliver the message right, or that we didn’t hear it right, or that the process didn’t work right. Therefore, in his mind, all of us are wrong and he’s right.

That’s dangerous thinking. Psychopaths think that way. But, I’ll stop short of calling him a psychopath because I don’t want Jimmy Carter to call me a racist. 

Obama tried to play nice yesterday at his impromptu press conference, but he just couldn’t resist putting on the muscle. He said in one breath that he wanted to work more closely with Congress, but then went on to say that he wants his nominees confirmed or he’ll make appointments during the Congressional recess. He just can’t resist putting on the muscle and acting like a two-bit street hood from Chicago. Sometimes, he makes Darth Vader look like a choir boy.

He pretended to reach across the aisle on health care, but did not hesitate to add that he will NOT go back and start with a new bill and he will NOT wait another year. You and I would look at it and say Congress has made too many mistakes by trying to make a bad bill look good; just start over. But, he looks at us as if we are the enemy because we dare to question his intelligence. After all, he’s the President. 

When he hears that the whole country thinks his health care plan sucks, he retorts that“The public has soured on the process…” but not the result? Bullshit. We’re angry with both the process and the results. I guess, in his eyes, that means we are to blame?

To be fair about it, he said that the country which develops good, clean energy will end up leading the global economy and I agree with him on that. That does not, however, mean that I subscribe to his Cap & Trade, but I’m sure he will hear it that way. 

One of these days, Barack Hussein Obama is going to have his veils of secrecy collapse. His real psyche well be bared to the entire world and he will probably suffer a nervous breakdown when faced with the ultimate reality that he is only the President and not a deity. I don’t think he is strong enough to endure such revelations of truth and will probably have a nervous breakdown and spend the rest of his life in a mental institution. 

That’s why I don’t believe he will finish his first term. I don’t mean any disrespect, but he’s obviously not “all there.” 

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA: I Told You So, Yes I Did

When Obama won the presidency with the help of the leftist media, Hollywood and entertainment liberals, ethnic socialists (ACORN), stupid non-business professionals and Bush haters, I wrote: It won't take six months until the people figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they've made. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER.

The IDIOTS who not only voted for the messiah, but also worked hard to promote his lordship, are now left holding the bag.

Here are two things they will NEVER do: they will NEVER admit to making a blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no positive social history or management experience of any kind. They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they've imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country.

In essence, the people responsible for putting this horror show in power are themselves responsible for every cataclysmic decision he makes and the consequences thereof.

In just six months, the messiah's polls are showing the following: on Healthcare Reform, he's going under for the third time with polling well under 50 percent, even within his own party. Even though he might be able to muscle a Healthcare Reform Bill by using Chicago bully tactics against his fellow Democrats, it will just make things worse.


On Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax), the fat lady is already singing. On the Stimulus Package (Tax and Spend), his popularity is in free fall. On the TARP package he took and ran with from President Bush, it's all but Good-Night Irene. On the closing of GITMO and "his" war on what he no longer wants called the War On Terrorism, he's standing in quicksand with his head just about to go under. On a comparison between himself and George W. Bush at the same six months into their respective first term presidencies, Bush is ahead of him in the polls. On a comparison between "he who walks on water" and the 12 preceding Presidents between WW II and now, Obama ranks 10th. On a poll just conducted, that asks who would you vote for today between Obama and Mitt Romney, it's a dead heat. Between Obama and Palin, Obama's only ahead by 8 points and she hasn't even begun to campaign!
It seems to me that Obama wants to be everywhere he shouldn't be. He's personally invested in totally insulting America 's only real Middle Eastern ally ( Israel ) in favor of Palestinian despots and murderers. He's traveling the world apologizing for the USA while lecturing others on how to do it right, when in fact and truth he has no experience at doing anything other than getting elected.

He went to the moslem world in Egypt to declare that America "is not a Christian Nation" while he heaped praises on Islam, where he compared the "plight" of the Palestinians to the Holocaust.

The Russians think he's a putz. The French think he's rude. The Germans want him to stop spending. The Indians want him to get his nose out of their environmental business. The North Koreans think he's a joke. The Iranians won't acknowledge his calls. And the British can't even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him. As for the Chinese, he's too frightened to even glance their way. (After all, China now owns a large portion of the United States .)

Maybe if America 's first emperor would stay home more, travel less, and work a little bit instead of being on television just about everyday (or forget about his Wednesday date nights with his amazon wife) or stop running to "papered" Town Hall Meetings, perhaps he would have a little bit of time to do the work of the nation.

In all fairness, it wasn't hard to be right in my prediction concerning Obama's presidency, even in its first six months, so I'm going to make yet another prediction: OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a conventional way.

He is such a political horror show, and so detrimental to the USA and his own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either force him to resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out. Who knows, maybe he really isn't a born US Citizen and that's a way the Democrats will be able to get rid of him.

Or, more likely than not, the Democrats will make Obama THEIR OWN LAME DUCK PRESIDENT. 
I don't believe the Democrats have nearly as much love for their country as they do for their own political fortunes. And with Obama, their fortunes are rapidly becoming toast.

The Democrats can keep on blaming Bush for everything, but that game's already begun to wear real thin.  Their mantra was "WE DON'T WANT 4 MORE YEARS," which the STUPID people bought, since McCain was nothing at all like George W. Bush. The new mantra will soon become: "WE DON'T WANT 6 MORE MONTHS."

Obviously written some time last fall, but very apropos today.  

NEVADA MINE SUFFERS FROM "OBAMA COMPLEX"

It’s very obvious to any observer that the President does not like it when anyone challenges his position or knowledge on anything; he is the consummate authoritarian. When he says his programs saved 2,000,000 jobs last year, you can take that to the bank. (The bank isn’t going to give you anything for it, but you can take it there.) If you ask him to prove it, he points to his ARA website. If you point out that his website claims jobs saved or produced in Congressional Districts that don’t exist, he comes back with a glower and “Figures don’t really mean anything, anyway.” 

In Nevada, in the nice, small rural farming town of Yerington, there is an old open-pit copper mine. For years, now, the Yerington Paiute Tribe has been concerned about the probability that chemical residues and heavy metals from the mine have been contaminating parts of the Mason Valley, particularly to the North of the site where the reservation is. To make a long story short, there have been several parties involved with ownership responsibilities at the mine over the years, and BPARCO is currently the principal party on the hook for mitigating any environmental problems. 

From 2002 to 2006, the tribe and a rapidly growing number of other concerned citizens put the heat on the EPA, State of Nevada, and BPARCO to determine the full extent and nature of contamination on the site. In 2005, after months of stonewalling, facts proved that there were dangerous amounts of uranium at the facility, some of which had been enriched and dumped in an evaporation pond. At the same time, increasing levels of uranium were being detected in domestic wells to the north of the site. BPARCO stonewalled and insisted that the uranium in the water was not coming from the mine site.
So, EPA was left with no choice but to have test wells drilled and monitored while wary residents waited and worried. Four years later, results of the testing seem to confirm that uranium from the mine site has reached groundwater. Once again, BPARCO is stonewalling, saying there is no evidence that the uranium in domestic wells to the north of the site is the same uranium in the groundwater by the mine. 

So, the problems at the Yerington Mine, problems that are very likely adversely affecting the health of citizens living to the north of the mine, get spinned and diverted much in the same way that Obama spins and diverts… like Muhammad Ali in the ring. Obama plays Americans like dummies. “We need to get people to work. I saved 2,000,000 million jobs last year.” “I agree that we can’t continue to have these runaway budget deficits. I need an extra $1.5 trillion next year.” BPARCO and some of the Yerington and Lyon County leaders have been “Progressives” just like Obama, and playing the residents of Mason Valley as being dummies. The story has progressed, from early 2003 to now, as follows: “There is no uranium on the mine site. The uranium on the mine site is naturally occurring and of no risk. The elevated levels of uranium on the mine site are isolated and pose no hazard to the general public. There is no uranium in the groundwater. The uranium in the groundwater is naturally occurring and not connected to the mine. The uranium that has gotten into the groundwater below and immediately to the north of the mine site is not connected to the uranium that is in the groundwater by houses and farms to the north of the site; that uranium is naturally occurring.” Seven years have gone by while residents have been drinking water from their wells. Maybe they should hold KSM’s terrorist trial in the evaporation pond where they dumped the yellowcake? 

Transparency? You know about those secret meetings going on in the back rooms of the Capitol, the discussions that were supposed to be broadcast on C-Span as Obama promised would happen? There is a lot of back room discussion about the mine site in Yerington, Nevada.
See all of the similarities? Well, here’s another one to roll around in your inquisitive mind. Guess who has spent a helluva lot of time in Washington, D.C. and spent a helluva lot of time in Yerington in his early days, and who was really steaming with energy on trying to get the mine site cleaned up six years ago when he was running for reelection? Harry Reid. 

Sorry to disappoint all of the players in this posting but, we’re not really as dumb as they make us out to be, are we? And, we’re not to blame for this kind of deceit and disservice to America and Yerington either, are we?
