It is my opinion that President Obama's selection of news reporters to ask questions in last night's Press Conference was not random and that those selected knew in advance they would be selected and had their questions pre-approved. If so, this is not the first time such a tactic has been used to avoid embarrassing questions for the President; President Clinton used this tactic more than once during the Monica scandal.
The problem, of course, is that the press conference is turned into a political show as opposed to a legitimate inquiry from the press and media as to what is going on in today's world. I think that the answers were somewhat pre-staged and lacking, as opposed to transparent and candid. There was total lack of spontaneity as well as a void of real empathy.
We deserve a better communication from our President. We're to blame for accepting less.
The shuckers and duckers of the world need to be exposed for who and what they are.

PELOSI SHOVES IT ALL OF THE WAY UP AMERICA'S HIGHNIES
We all now know about Princess Nancy's flagrant, wide-open abuse of the Air Force's fleet of Washington jets and the lowly personnel who fly and maintain them. This while, talking out of the other side of her mealy mouth, she has vehemently chastised those who fly corporate jets and drive SUV's.
She's also taking a position against secret union ballots. Anyone who has ever studied history knows that getting rid of secret ballots opens the door wide to tyranny. "Oh, Mr. American, you voted for WHO? Well, I'm from the I.R.S. and I'm here to audit your taxes for 1995 through 2009."
The not-so-royal royal princess in a haughty display of contempt for the unemployed and economic stressed country, also worked hand-in-hand with Dirty Prince Harry to remove a provision in the last stimulus bill that would have denied its benefits to illegal aliens and, in so doing, put an estimated 300,000 illegal aliens ahead of 3.5 million unemployed Americans in the benefits line.
The evil, wicked witch from California now has the audacity to put the frosting on the pile of her pompous dung. She doesn't seem to think that Americans need to have a say anymore in how much Congress gets paid, regardless of whether the national economy is good or bad. She doesn't want them to have to vote publicly on whether or not they get a raise and she doesn't want them to have to wait until the following term to take effect. She wants automatic, guaranteed raises every year for all of Congress. Not only does she want it, she is demanding it, and she's hounding the members of the House and badgering them, just like she does the Air Force about her planes.
Grovel it up big time, because there's not a damned thing you can do about it.
Or, is there?

AMERICANS IN THE HEARTLANDS ARE FED UP
I recently took a week-long trip. These are my findings:
(1) At a motor hotel in Reno the clerk, who had previously become unemployed when a local hotel-casino closed its doors due to lack of business, showed me a computer list of expected check-ins for the day. The list was about 1/3 page long. She explained that the normal list was three pages long. But, Washington is not to blame.
(2) At the airport, where you normally have to park on the top level and walk from the back to the front with luggage in hand, I had no problem finding a spot on the covered level near the elevator of my choice. Inside, the normally hustling, bustling and very busy airport was almost devoid of people. The security line had six in line. Grand total time to check in and walk to my gate was less than 15 minutes. But, Washington is not to blame.
(3) The plane from Reno to Salt Lake City, normally packed with standbys waiting, only had 30 passengers on it. But, Washington is not to blame.
(4) In Salt Lake City, I went straight to the rental car agency, there was no one standing in line at the counter. In less then 10 minutes, I was driving away to Wyoming. But, Washington is not to blame.
(5) There were plenty of trucks on I-80, but almost no cars.
The long and short of this story is that almost no one is traveling, and Washington says... "We're not to blame."
The few people I did talk to along the way were all grumbling about how Washington is handling the economy. I spoke with people from Oregon, California, Utah, Wyoming, Illinois and New Hampshire. Everyone is weary over the constant lies, denials, and blame shifting of Congress and the White House. They are even more upset, Democrat and Republican alike, at the cavalier way Congress is throwing away our hard-earned money. "They don't give a damn what we think or feel," lamented one trucker, who is a staunch union member as measured by the several union badges on his shirt. "I think it's time we ran every one of those damned bastards out. Every damned last one of them."

PRESIDENT PROVES NATION IS GODLESS: Special Post
SPECIAL POST
With one, quick and broad stroke, President Barack Obama today proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the United States of America is not only Godless, but that it has no compunctions whatsoever about the indiscriminate denial of life to the unborn.
May God have mercy on our souls.

DOW PLUMMETS BELOW 7,000
See my post of February 13th. I predicted the stock market would drop below 7,000, and it has. I also suggested it may get as low as 6,500 by March 1st. The Market was closed March 1st and this is March 2nd and, as I write this, the market is hanging around 6,800 with three more hours to trade. It will hit 6,500 sometime this month, probably today or tomorrow.
Will it get into 5,000 territory? I won't rule it out. 4,000? I won't rule that out either. 3,000? I seriously doubt it will get that low.
The problem is, the more money you throw into the fires of "stimulus" and "bailout," the more the total will be, (plus interest), that will have to be repaid; Obama has made no secret of his intent to increases taxes on "rich" and "big business" in general. So, the more money he throws into the fires, the faster investors are withdrawing and/or canceling plans for future investments and business growth.
Ironically, in this process he's financially killing innumerable retirement plans, throwing now retired people into economic disaster and wiping out savings.
Obviously, he and his advisors collectively know less about the national economy than Bush and company, and we all know that the latter was a litter of economic imbeciles.
