School Board Steps Into Cesspool of Backlash

Remember that school board in Randolph Township that decided to remove all holiday names from the school calendar and simply label them as "days off?"  Well, there was so much resulting fuss that they called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue.  

It turned out to be rather contentious and led to an 8-1 decision to reverse the plan. 

Tom Tatem, father of four who started a petition demanding school board members resign, and James Jacobi, a father of three, said Tuesday that the victory should be a lesson in transparency for towns across America. "It's not about being the loudest to get your way, it's really about learning that this needs to be a transparent and accountable and collaborative process with the town that you live in," Jacobi said. "And that's one of the biggest messages we were giving the board last night, consistently across 40 different speakers. And that's what they really need to come and think about."

"They got the message," Tatem said. "They reversed course on their decision, which is very much appreciated." 

Maybe there's some hope left for this country after all?

Oppressive Tyranny In The Classroom

A high school teacher in Colusa, California threatened to kick a student out of a virtual class unless he removed a "Trump 2020" flag from his camera background. She gave him 15 seconds to do so.

SCHOOL PRINCIPAL GOES POLITICALLY CORRECT BERSERK

A teacher at Brody Middle School in Des Moines, Iowa, promised her students a pizza party if they behaved well.  When the day arrived, she ordered and personally paid for the pizzas, but the school principal promptly appeared in the classroom and confiscated the pizzas, saying he did not approve of the socially unacceptable party.  The pizzas rotted in his office and the kids went home disappointed and confused; the teacher went home in tears.     

After word got around town and parents got on his case, the principal said he would allow a pizza party for the entire school if the kids raised the money to cover the costs.  That "noble" gesture really raised the ire of the parents, who raised justifiable hell.  Faced with an angry mob, the principal allowed the classroom to have its pizza party, but made students and parents pay for the replacement pizzas.  

If it was up to me, I'd fire the son-of-a-bitch before he decides to get even with the teacher.   

UNISEX HIGH SCHOOL LOCKER ROOMS?

Garden Sport High School in New Holland, PA is dismantling boys and girls locker rooms and will combine them into one, neutral gender locker room.  The conversion will cost taxpayers $2.4 million.  

It would be a cold day in hell before I would allow any of my children to attend that school.  The local school board should be tarred and feathered. 

SO, WHAT'S WRONG WITH CHEATING "CRISIS?"

Hillary cheated big time in the 2016 elections, sandbagging Bernie Sanders, writing a dirty dossier on Trump, taking in illegal contributions from the Russians and using her own private server to handle classified emails in outright violation of the law.  She got away with it. 

The Democrats cheat big time.  They bring in illegal aliens, register them to vote, and on Election Day they bus them from polling place to polling place, sometimes even across state lines... to vote and vote again.  They lie, cheat, spin... doing whatever it takes to get their way.  They get away with it. 

All of the people in Congress get modest pay, but somehow end up being multi-millionaires.  They get away with it.  Obama, Lynch, Comey, McCabe, Strozk, Page, Rosenstein, Sessions... They all got away with it.  The press and the media... both of which are obligated to be fair, just and balanced... are in the tank for the Democrats.  Nobody is hauling them on the carpet.  

Athletes use steroids.  Car salesman pad invoices.  Judges throw cases.  There is just an endless parade of unchecked cheating and rampant corruption going on in the country.  

So, why pick on the college kids who are simply trying to get ahead in life? 

MORE DESTRUCTIVE BERKELEY RIOTS IMMINENT

Ann Coulter was invited by students to speak at U.C. Berkeley, but the administration decided to cancel her appearance for "security" reasons.  After an uproar, they agreed to reschedule her appearance... in May after classes are out and students have left the campus.  At her insistence, citing freedom of speech at what was once the bastion of Free Speech in the 1960's, she is now slated to speak Thursday night.  

Ominously, law enforcement sources are saying that regardless of whether or not she actually shows up,   there is a “99 percent” chance that the college will erupt in violence.  In fact, extremist groups from across the country are heading to Berkeley.  

To add to the threat, it appears that there is deep discord between the Berkeley Police Department and the city government, led by Jesse Arreguin, (the 32-year-old newly elected mayor facing his first major test in running a large city).  Arreguin has been accused of supporting left-wing violence because he is a member of the group By Any Means Necessary, or BAMN, an anarchist group that has incited violent protests across the country. The mayor was criticized for basically handcuffing police officers who patrolled the recent April 15^th tax day riot which resulted in 11 injuries, including a stabbing. Critics said he restricted police officers so much they could not do their job.

And, my friends, we are to blame for tolerating this open and flagrant insurrection.

WILL WOULD-BE TRUMP SHOOTER GET AWAY WITH THREAT?

For good reason, there are laws against threatening the life of the president, no matter who he is.  Granted, there were times when many of us have said about Obama, "I'd like to kill the s.o.b."  But, we didn't take any action and had to intentions of taking any action to accomplish such an act. 

Payal Modi is an art teacher at Adamson High School in the Dallas Independent School District. She made a video of herself in her classroom shooting a fake gun at a Trump image while screaming "Die!"  She then posted the video on her Instagram account and it subsequently ended up on YouTube.  Why either venue allowed the posting is beyond me; they both screened for any anti-Obama stuff.  And why the Dallas Independent School District didn't immediately suspend her defies all rationale. 

Now, if that's not a threat on Trump's life, I don't know what is; it most certainly would inspire some nutcase to go out and try it.    

Leave it to the liberals to come to her defense.  After all, they point out, the gun was a toy gun and Trump was 1,300 miles away; how could she possibly kill him?   So... they don't want her persecuted or prosecuted.  I guess she's not to blame for anything?  

One thing for sure: Dallas has certainly earned the reputation of being a city that doesn't mind killing presidents. 

HEADS IN THE SANDPILE

This takes gall. 

We all know what a lousy public education system we have in this country.  Our students are not only not getting an education, they are being indoctrinated in liberal, socialist ideologies.  Like the press is supposed to be, our educational system is supposed to be non-political and totally without propaganda.  And, like "No Child Left Behind," Common Core is a dismal failure.  

There are multitudes of problems in other government agencies as well, but this post refers strictly to the Department of Education.  Our education has been in rapid decline ever since the federal government decided to make a power grab and diminish the authority and rights of the individual states to administer their own programs.  This is why there is such a move to try and establish and operate charter schools.  

Trump named Betsy De Vos as his new Secretary of Education.  She is a school-choice and voucher advocate who has been a driving force behind the successful rise of charter schools in Michigan.  She is the most logical choice to take the helm and bring positive change to our schools.  Certainly, we cannot continue down the current path.  

And the Democrats, one American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten in particular,  now have the unmitigated gall to suggest that De Vos is going to ruin our educational system.  As if to say that she and her stooges are producing some outstanding educational system right now?  

They're to  blame for these messes, but they have their hands stuck so far in the sand that they can't see the forest through the trees.  

WHAT WE LEARNED MONDAY NIGHT

Hillary revealed a lot about how and what she thinks in Monday night's debate.  For one thing, she thinks the Iranian nuclear "deal" was the only way to handle Iran and she further thinks that because of it, we now have unfettered access to Iran's nuclear sites.  That, of course, is not true; the Iranians demanded that they have the right to "self-inspect," and the illustrious John Kerry along with Barack Obama agreed to it.  

She also seems to think that it is perfectly fine that her aides got some immunity out of the F.B.I. "investigation" of her emails.  And, she lies, as if we didn't know that before.  She stated firmly that she never called the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade "deal" the "gold standard," when in fact she consistently did until Trump came out against it. 

She has a faulty memory, probably out of convenience.  She claimed that Trump was adamantly for U.S. forces going into Iraq when there is plenty of TV footage to show that he was not. 

The press and media also showed their colors vividly; after the debate was over, they all agreed that Hillary had won the debate hands down, but the public picked Trump as the winner thumbs up.  And we learned that Jill Stein has absolutely no scruples or class; she showed up outside the debate hall and tried to create a ruckus of distraction.  She had even managed to get into an area where credentials were required for security reasons and she got huffy when she was escorted totally off campus.  

As for the debate itself, I guess it was okay, but it certainly wasn't a barn burner.

SCHOOL BANS AMERICAN FLAG

The Dickson County School District in Tennessee has banned students from bringing American flags to campus because it doesn’t want to take a chance on students bringing any flags that could be seen as offensive by others.  "While this was not necessarily an attack on the American flag, there were some other issues we’re trying to address,” said Steve Sorrells, Dickson County director of student services. “It’s not an unpatriotic act by any means because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride.”  

If you can't have pride in the American flag, then just what CAN you have pride in in this country?  I guess they don't want to be blamed for standing up for America.  

FEDS TRY TO END SCHOOL BAKE SALES

New standards for food in school cafeterias have escalated into a Federal attempt to eliminate sugars and fats from fundraising school bake sales.  It is estimated that such limits will literally destroy the sale of baked goods and severely hamper extra-curricular activities. 

And we all know who to blame for this bull, don't we Michelle?  

MISFIRED ATTEMPT TO REDEFINE 2ND AMENDMENT

Those of us who own guns or support the Constitution should be aghast to discover that a new Texas schoolbook has redefined the Second Amendment to read: "the right to keep and bear arms in a state militia."  This subtle redefinition implies that we Americans have no right to keep and bear arms unless we are in a state militia.  The Constitution provides: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." 

The work book used at Guyer High School in the city of Denton is "The United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination."  John J. Newman, the book's co-author, claims the text of the book was written before the 2008 Supreme Court ruling, District of Columbia v. Heller, which protects individuals' rights to possess firearms. He said the book's only intent was to summarize the Second Amendment and admitted that the current definition is incorrect. But he said a revised and corrected edition is set to be sold in May 2014.  "There was no devious intention in the definition," he said.  

If you believe that, ask yourselves why the school was using the book in the first place and why whatever review board it has went ahead and selected this version. We all need to be on the lookout for these devious attempts to subvert our government.  Others may be to blame for trying, we will be to blame if we allow them to succeed.
