School Board Steps Into Cesspool of Backlash

Remember that school board in Randolph Township that decided to remove all holiday names from the school calendar and simply label them as "days off?" Well, there was so much resulting fuss that they called an emergency meeting to discuss the issue.

It turned out to be rather contentious and led to an 8-1 decision to reverse the plan.

Tom Tatem, father of four who started a petition demanding school board members resign, and James Jacobi, a father of three, said Tuesday that the victory should be a lesson in transparency for towns across America. "It's not about being the loudest to get your way, it's really about learning that this needs to be a transparent and accountable and collaborative process with the town that you live in," Jacobi said. "And that's one of the biggest messages we were giving the board last night, consistently across 40 different speakers. And that's what they really need to come and think about."

"They got the message," Tatem said. "They reversed course on their decision, which is very much appreciated."

Maybe there's some hope left for this country after all?

Happy New Year: Portland Wallows In Its Cesspool

Portland, Oregon is saddled with a huge crime rate, continuing riots and anarchy in its streets, a police force that is rapidly declining due to resignations and retirements, a shrinking budget due to "defunding," and a Mayor and Council who don't seem to give a rat's ass. The city is now begging citizens for help!

At least 850 shootings occurred in 2020 through Christmas Eve, with 393 shootings reported in all of 2019, statistics show. Maybe the citizens should start by sacking the Mayor and Council?

It's called "Karma," and they all deserve it in 2021.

When you're confined to your house over the holidays while millions of people are infected with the Chinese Virus and hundreds of thousands have died, pause for a moment to remember the Democrat outrage back in the first of the year when President Trump shut down Chinese travel and warned the country of a dangerous disease headed our way.

The fix was in on the 2020 elections. As for the Republicans in charge, they were either too dumb to see it coming, or they just didn't give a damn if it did happen.

Either way, they've lost both the interest and the support of their party.
