HOLY TOLEDO! AIRLINES GET NASTY!

American Airlines is one of the first airlines to get morbid about what they charge; hold on to your wallet. 

All airlines have offered discounted fares for those traveling to family funerals; it's called a "Bereavement Fare."  This is because funerals generally occur within a few days of death, well within the period when airlines jack up their fares because it's close to the date of flight; people going to funerals have no choice, and airlines in the past have offered the bereavement fair so that they are not taking advantage of the flyer's plight. 

American has not only discontinued that practice, they're not budging.  In essence, pardon the play on words, "It's a dead issue."  If you're sister just died in Toledo and the funeral is Sunday, you're screwed out of an enormous amount of money while the airline makes a bigger bank deposit on Monday. 

Don't blame me if people quit flying the damned airline at all times. 

V.A. ELIMINATES BACKLOG

The allegation is that the V.A. has been systematically deleting files of applications from vets trying to get appointments and medical care, once the file is a year old and not acted upon.  As they say at the V.A., there's no way to prove the allegation because the files are gone.  

I wonder how many vets there are who are waiting for their exam or determination and who are unaware that there case no longer exists.  

Don't forget... ObamaCare is modeled to a large extent on the V.A. system.  Now, don't be a jackass by protesting to your Congressman; they just hate it when citizens ripple the waters. 

GROSS AMERICAN INJUSTICE

Carroll Jordan, a Chickasaw man from East Brewton, Alabama was beaten and stabbed in a horrible attack which occurred in his own home on January 27th; he finally died February 15th.  Three people, all prior convicts, were charged in the murder, but the charges were subsequently dropped... because, according to the District Attorney, an autopsy found that he had died from complications of surgery and not from the beating and stabbings.  

No further comment; we know that our justice system is broken, and this proves it.  The convicts are not to blame for Jordan's death; the surgeon is.     

SLASHING THE MILITARY

We've known since day one that Obama wanted to decimate the military.  Yesterday, Defense Secretary Hagel announced that he intends to reduce the ranks to pre-World War II levels. 

Here we are with Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia and China in the middle of intense and fearful activities, with the advance and spread of terrorism , with nuclear proliferation... and they intend to cut our Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines beyond bare bones.  It's almost as if we're saying to the world: we've decided we're going to be defenseless; come and get us.  

I will blame you and hold you personally responsible if you don't get madder than hell about it and contact your Congressional delegates immediately.   We need to get these illiterate anti-American sons-of-bitches out of office NOW. 

LINES, LINES EVERYWHERE

There was that infamous "red line" that Obama drew regarding the use of chemical weapons in Syria.  When Assad started to use them, Obama was quick to say he never said that; the rest of the world said it, certainly not him.  So, that line when bye-bye.  

Now comes the Ukranian "line."  Obama sternly warned Russia and Putin not to step over the line.  Now, if Obama can't deal with a tin-horn like Assad over THAT line, how does he expect us or the rest of the world to believe he's going to deal with Putin and the NEW line? 

The whole crux of the issue, of course, is that Obama spins lines faster that a spider weaving a web.  There are a lot of other similarities in that comparison, too.  But, now that the Olympics are over, the possibility that Putin is going to cross the "new" line increase dramatically.  Just don't be to blame for swallowing Obama's line about this line, or any other of his endless line of lines for that matter. 

SYRIA WINS

The bad news, although I knew it was coming, is that Syria is not turning over its chemical weapons and is instead intensifying its domestic war against rebels.  There is no plan for the Syrians to resumes talks; Putin, the so-called and celebrated "saviour" of Obama's red line predicament, continues to stand firmly behind Assad. 

In other words, John Kerry's "gallant" galloping around the Middle East while proclaiming a "resolution" to the issues was somewhat akin to a fart in a whirlwind.  But, I'm sure Obama won't hesitate to give Kerry another Purple Heart or Bronze Star for his efforts.  

Now, back to the red line that Obama never proclaimed, (remember how he denied making the statement, although he said it to every Tom, Dick and Harry he could find who would still listen to him?), what is going to happen if Assad starts using them again?  What subject would Obama try and change the discourse to this time?  

Oh, I know!  Isn't about time for Obama to get into another snit with Netanyahu? 

LOCO EN LA CABEZA

The great creators of the ObamaCare website neglected to hire anyone who knows anything about Spanish to design the Spanish version of the website.  All of the illegals are upset, because they can't sign up.  Obama hasn't weighed in on the issue yet; I think he's probably trying to figure out who he's going to blame for this one.  

Don't blame me, however.  I didn't have anything to do with it.  Nada.

OUTWITTED BY TOO MANY REGULATIONS

The State of New Jersey, that lovely state governed by Chris Christie, has a new road problem; this time, it's not a bridge.  As you know, the East has been hammered by several storms lately and they're getting another one as you read this.  The problem is that they are out of road salt.  

Road salt is used to raise the freezing temperature of moisture and is spread on the highways to help keep them from icing over and to help the snow melt.  They have 40,000 tons of it ready to ship, but there's a catch.  The salt is sitting at a port in Maine, docked until New Jersey officials obtain a federal waiver. Once that is done, it will take two days to ship the load from Maine to Newark.  

The catch is that the ship is not flying under a U.S. flag and the 1920 federal Maritime Act regulates that no goods on ships traveling from one port to another within the U.S. can be unloaded unless the ship is sailing under the American flag.  The nearest U.S.-flagged vessel would take a month to deliver the shipment of salt.  

New Jersey is trying to get a Federal waiver.  If issued, it will take two days for the salt to reach them.  In the meanwhile, they are planning to use a briny pickle juice-like mixture as an alternative; the costs run about 7 cents a gallon as compared to $63 per ton of salt and the brine is considered by some to be less effective.  

I guess you can't blame Christie for this one; maybe he should call in the pickled pepper piper from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. 
 

CHINA'S DEADLY NEW THREAT

Never mind about that Syrian "peace accord" that Kerry and Putin have been working on; it's basically done and over with.  At least, they're not talking any more and no future talks are scheduled.  As for Iran, Obama has dictated that we can no longer impose sanctions against them and Congress is going to do as he says, regardless of how much they seem to squawk.  Don't pay any attention to the fact that Russia is gearing up the Cold War again. 

Set those foreign affairs disasters aside for the moment; forget that I told you long ago this was all just a big waste of time.  We have bigger things to be concerned about.  

China has just tested a dangerous new missile that could be used to launch a devastating attack on the United States.  The new DF-41 missile can carry up to 10 nuclear warheads on each missile and has a range up to 7,500 miles.  Their missiles are mobile, making them more difficult to locate and take out.  

My guess is that they did not develop this technology to start a war with Russia.  All of these scary, ominous threats are cropping up because we have a President who sucks at his job. 

KERRY BEGS PUTIN FOR HELP

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called on Russia to help bring Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the negotiating table Monday and claimed that the Syrian leader was not making a good faith effort to find a peaceful end to the country's ongoing civil war. 

No sheet?  Kerry's 203 Purple Hearts hasn't impressed Assad?  

Well, I'll be damned. 

DEBT CEILING GAMBIT DUMB, DUMB, DUMB

And yes, we need a new Speaker.  Rolling over and playing dead, Boehner led the House into agreeing to proceed with NO cap on the debt ceiling until March 15, 2015.  Obama responded by immediately signing into law the increase in the Federal minimum wage. 

If you think they've been blowing money in the past, just watch what happens during the next 13 months.  I'm too sick at my stomach to think straight. 

Boehner has single-highhandedly moved this country to the precipice of financial disaster.  He surely deserves to be routed. 

WE NEED ORGANIZED RESISTANCE

Remember the old western movies when whole towns were held hostage by the local greedy land baron who struck fear in the hearts of residents because he wanted their land, water rights or gold mines?  Remember how the greedy land baron was always surrounded by bullies and gunslingers who took great joy in beating the crap out of anyone who dared to speak out against the "boss?"  Remember how John Wayne or Matt Dillon or Richard Boone or Clint Eastwood or ... anyway, some handsome looking dude on a white horse would always ride into town and lead the locals into organized resistance against the greedy land baron?  

In the process, of course, the townspeople would learn the lesson that they needed to stand up to adversity and put the greedy land barons in their places. The bully gunslingers all got shot dead and the land baron would either leave town or end up in the dust on main street after the handsome cowboy from "down yonder" out drew him.  

Doesn't Barack Obama remind you of the greedy land baron surrounded by worthless, two-bit puppet-bullies?  If you dare to speak out against him, he sends the DOJ bullies or the IRS bullies out to get even with you.   He's bound by no laws, constrained by no Constitution; he's Barack Obama, the lunatic on the black horse.  We're the townspeople, either not interested in sticking our necks out or too afraid to stand up for ourselves.  

John Wayne, Matt Dillon and Richard Boone may all be dead, but Clint Eastwood is still around.  Maybe Clint would consider saddling up with Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Bobby Jindal, Marco Rubio and a few of those guys.  Maybe, just maybe, they'd all be on white horses, galloping down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington with their trusty six-shooters by their sides.  Can't you just see them now, jumping their gallant steeds across the White House fence, riding across the manicured lawn and churning up the sod, barging through the front doors of the place and trotting their horses across that magnificent carpet straight into the Oval Office?  

I wonder what Nancy Pelosi would have to say about that?   

Well, folks, this old cowboy western is highly unlike to happen.  Maybe we townspeople need to band together and take on the greedy land baron ourselves.  If we don't, who are we going to blame? 

It's time to stand up and be counted.

THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

They all lined up like obedient little puppy dogs and ranted and raved about how great ObamaCare was going to be.  You all know who they were... they were all Democrats in the House and the Senate.  Now, however, they are all slithering away from the scene, likes snakes in the grass.  

They hope you will forget when the elections come up in November.  They know you can't keep your plan and they know you can't keep your doctor, but they sure as hell want you to keep your politician. 

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THIS?

A few months ago, we got madder than hell when we learned that the IRS has been shafting the Tea Parties and other conservative groups by refusing to act on their 501 (c) (4) filings, by targeting them for extra IRS audits and scrutiny, and by going after political enemies of Obama.  We vowed right then and there that we would not allow the IRS to be in charge of handling the verifications  and collection aspects of ObamaCare.

What happened to that?  

We just heard over the weekend that they have not backed off their oppressive, anti-American activities.  

Why are we allowing this bullshit to slide under the radar?  Do we really want to be blame for this? 

I.R.S.

An email just revealed during House hearings and involving Louis Lerner makes it clear that the Administration wanted to target conservative groups before the 2012 elections.  Accordingly, the I.R.S. is on a deliberate campaign to stifle political debate and free speech.  

Lerner, you may remember, pleaded the 5th Amendment protection during House hearings last year after asserting that she was as clean as clean can be.  The hearings this week also brought out that many principals in conservative groups filing for tax exempt status were subjected to unprecedented Federal scrutiny, audits and visits by OSHA.  

Certainly, wouldn't you agree, there was not even a smidgen of corruption involved ~ not one iota ~ not even a scintilla; not a tittle, not a whit and certainly not a smidgen.  Blame O'Reilly. 

2.5 MILLION MORE JOBS LOST!

The budget geeks in Washington have determined that ObamaCare is going to cost the country 2.5 million more job losses. 

Now... Just who is Obama going to blame for THAT?

Thanks to President Obama, we now know the true terrorists involved in the Benghazi Massacre and the reason for their actions.  It was Bill O'Reilly and FOX NEWS, and they did it as part of their ongoing campaign of hatred against Obama and his Administration.  

Thank God... MSNBC was not involved!

MIDDLE EAST FALLS APART

Lost in the Super Bowl hype was the news that the Syrian government has not yet agreed to come back to the "peace talks."  Both Israel and Turkey have launched attacks in Syria in the past few days.  The Syrians have been stalling on the identification and destruction of their chemical arms stockpiles. 

In the meantime, the Iranians have their first $500 million in frozen money and are due to get another $4.2 billion of it shortly.  They popped out over the weekend with an announcement that they have no intention of slowing down their nuclear program; in fact, they say, they are going to be developing and adding new centrifuges.  Israeli officials are now claiming that Iran is within four weeks of having a nuclear weapon. 

While this news was seeping out under the cover of a Seattle blitzkrieg against Denver, Obama was busy trying to deny and escape blame for his many dirty deeds on a FOX NEWS - Bill O'Reilly special interview, and other Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia are saying they have no choice but to get their own nukes to prevent Iran and Syrian from taking total control of the entire Middle East. 

And, as usual, the Obama dynasty doesn't seem to give a damn...

OBAMACARE: THE LATEST LYING GIMMICK

Sneaking out like the typical Friday afternoon farts do in Washington, news came that hospitals are considering paying the insurance premiums of in-house patients who can't afford to pay them.  Here's the rub: the whole premise of ObamaCare was that there are these millions of uninsured Americans who end up in hospitals and don't, or can't pay their bills.  The supposition is that the hospital raises its rates to cover those unpaid expenses and those costs end up being passed on to the public.  So, the story went, ObamaCare will make sure everybody has insurance so that problem will end.  

Well, what's the difference if the hospital pays the insurance premiums?  They're still going to jack up their rates.  Plus, the insurance companies will boost their premiums because they have to pay out more.  So, we'll still and up paying for those who can't, or won't pay their insurance premiums.  

The whole premise... the whole reason that Obama based his magnanimous health care plan on was to get the uninsured insured.  Well, that's anther lie.  You see, ObamaCare is really designed to accomplish two things: (1) give the government total control over your health, thereby making you subservient to them, and (2) seizing control of the billions of dollars spent on health care every year.  That's all it's about, pure and simple.  

It's all a sham, a flimflam, one big lie... and we're to blame for not unceremoniously shoving it straight back up Obama's rear end, where it truly belongs.
