NORTH KOREA SUCKS HIND TIT... AGAIN
After several days of listening to Kim Jong Umph's threatening to pull out of the peace talks, berating Vice President Pence and vowing to nuke the United States into oblivion, President Trump decided to pull the plug and walk from the scheduled June 12th peace summit.
I think the Chinese have decided to use North Korea as a pawn in an ever-increasing and dangerous game to put the United States in it's place... even if war is inevitable. Observers note that Kim became noticeably more belligerent after a recent meeting in China. All of which really means that Kim the Umph is not to blame for his own actions.
In the meanwhile, the Pacific Fleet is back on high alert.

GUN FREE ZONE
As I suspected, the high school in Santa Fe, Texas was a gun free zone.
I'm a concealed carry permit holder, but I could not legally set foot on that campus with a loaded firearm. All I could legally do would be to stand on the street and watch the carnage unfold.
Had I been there, had I seen what was about to happen, had I exited my car and run onto the school grounds to intervene... I'd be the one in jail.
How does that sit with you?

GET OUT! SEATTLE TELLS AMAZON, STARBUCKS: GO AHEAD AND LEAVE
Although Amazon.com, Starbucks and other large businesses located in Seattle have voiced their firm opposition, the City Council went ahead and approved, 9-0, a massive new employment tax that will raise tens of millions of dollars at the expense of businesses of all sizes. Head taxes are extremely rare in the U.S. and the ones in place are a
fraction of Seattle’s proposal. In Denver, there is a $50-per-year tax
for a full-time employee, while Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel scrapped the
Windy City’s tax after calling it a job killer. Seattle's tax will impose a $275 head tax per employee per year.
Both Amazon and Starbucks lambasted the new law, which takes effect January 1, 2019. Their response is that Seattle doesn't have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem. City revenues are already increasing much faster than city population.
You have a company employing 50,000 well-paid workers who in turn contribute to the local economy; they own homes, and buy goods and services. Companies that provide raw materials to your company employ another 50,000 people. The city where you are located almost went bankrupt and out of business more than once due to a decline in sales and employment at Boeing and/or Lockheed. To show its gratitude, the city now is going to charge you $275 a head for each one of those jobs you brought to the table? I don't think so.....

JEFF SESSIONS: AN AMERICAN TRAITOR
Ever since Jeff Sessions was sworn in as Attorney General of the United States, he has stood solidly and squarely in the opposition of American justice.
At the very start, Sessions recused himself from anything to do with the Trump Administration and the so-called "Russian Collusion," thereby removing himself from oversight, responsibility or involvement in any DOJ or FBI investigation. He subsequently allowed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, (a known Clinton operative), to appoint Robert Mueller, (another known Clinton operative), as Special Counsel to "look into" possible illegal activities of Trump or his campaign regarding Russian "collusion." He has since then allowed Rosenstein and Mueller to expand that "investigation" into other far-reaching events, many of which have nothing at all to do with the initial subject of investigative powers.
Since then, the DOJ and the FBI, under the leadership of Jeff Sessions, have steadfastly and adamantly refused to cooperate with Congressional requests and subpoenas for testimony and documentation regarding abuses of power within those agencies; only under threat of contempt or impeachment proceedings has Sessions allowed the FBI or DOJ to cooperate with Congress in even the slightest degree.
With Members of Congress demanding he appoint a Special Counsel, Sessions has side-stepped the requests by appointing Justice Department attorneys to investigate, a clear conflict of interest and flagrant attempt at coverup. Most recently, even in the face of insurmountable evidence of wrongdoing in both agencies and after allowing for the runaway Mueller persecution as Special Counsel, Sessions has the unmitigated gall to refuse to appoint a Special Counsel to look into those matters by saying he does not believe in Special Counsels.
Sessions has proven himself to be an enemy of American justice and simply must be impeached. Period.

DON'T FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES
Brittany Oswell was flying an American Airlines flight from Hawaii to Dallas-Fort Worth on April 16th when she collapsed. She subsequently regained consciousness and then collapsed again. Another passenger, who was a medical doctor, determined she should have advanced medical care immediately and asked the pilot to divert to the nearest airport. The pilot, on conversing with another doctor of the ground, decided to continue the flight to DFW.
During the in-flight emergency, the doctor attempted to use on-board medical equipment, two blood pressure machines and a defibrillator, all of which malfunctioned. Oswell was declared brain-dead three days after the landed at DFW.
What this tells me is that, should you have a medical emergency while in flight on an American Airlines plane, medical equipment on board may be totally useless. Further, if there is a medical doctor on board who can and will assist, his/her immediate diagnosis may be overruled by another doctor on the ground who has no medical readings upon which to base a decision.
A spokesperson for American Airlines released the following statement: “We take the safety of our passengers very seriously and we are looking into the details of the complaint.”
Given the information as it is presented here, you must presume that American does not routinely check to make certain such equipment is operative and you should not get on an American Airlines flight unless you have your own medical doctor with his own equipment on board with him.

ENTIRE DOJ FLIPS AMERICA OFF
At some undisclosed time within the past few weeks, the Inspector General of the Justice Department issued a criminal referral to the Attorney General for prosecution against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Not only has the DOJ kept that referral under wraps, it has to date refused to act upon it. That would mean that either Attorney General Jeff Sessions or his Deputy, Rod Rosenstein, or both, have been sitting on it... obstructing justice.
The Justice Department has also been presiding over failed attempts by Congress to obtain some 1.2 million documents related to Hillary Cinton's numerous nefarious activities, having delivered only 3,600 in the past year. Only under the threat of impeachment has the Department of Justice made any attempt to comply with Congressional oversight and the agency, along with the FBI, has gone to great lengths to subvert all attempts to get the facts.
James Comey wrote seven memos following conversations with President Trump, and he subsequently surreptitiously leaked them to the media. It is alleged that some of those documents contained classified or privileged information and Congress has been trying to get its hands on those memos for months. Sessions and Rosenstein have refused to comply with repeated requests. Congress then set a deadline for last Monday, declaring that contempt proceedings were in the offing. The deadline passed, with Congress demanding delivery by Wednesday. DOJ replied, saying they needed a few more days.
How long does it take to prep and review seven documents?

LOW LIFE
I can remember the days when we were all Americans in this country. We may have had some differences, but we always managed to put them aside in order to put God and our country first.
In those days, some Mexicans crossed the border illegally and worked in the fields picking crops. They kept to themselves, went about their back-breaking manual labor, and quietly went back across the border when the crops went dormant for the winter. And, life went on.
One day, some Democrat saw the opportunity to actually encourage Mexicans to cross the border; he or she, whoever it was, saw the potential in stacking the political deck by bringing in hoards of Mexicans to provide all kinds of cheap labor while, at the same time, registering some more Democrats. In short, illegal Mexicans became a manipulated commodity for the good of the Democrat Party.
This is why the Democrats scream bloody murder when we ask for identification at the voting polls; it's not about protecting civil rights, it's about keeping the rest of America in the dark about their scurrilous scheme to gain control of the nation's government. This is also why the Democrats managed to install barriers to prevent the Border Patrol from doing its job in keeping illegals out. This is why they handcuffed ICE and other law enforcement officials, using the courts to prevent the deportation of illegals. Finally, by allowing and actually arranging for drug cartel money to be funneled into the pockets of judges and politicians, they rigged the system to ensure there would be no way to stop their illicit scheme.
In the process, our cities have been ridden with rampant crime. The cartels have extended their filthy tentacles into every city and every facet of our society.
In short, we are under siege.

We think that declaring some cities and states to be sanctuaries where the illegals can hide out and base their operations from is not only against the law, it is destroying our country. How do the Democrats respond to our angst? They send forth one Governor Jerry Brown to stand up on the stage of righteousness and point his bony finger at us and call us "low life."

NEWSMAX is reporting that more than 22,000 people on ObamaCare have died while waiting for medical services. Current Medicaid waiting lists are estimated to be around 650,000 individuals, according

TRUMP SHUCKS AND DUCKS
Just like any other politician does when he's caught screwing the American people who elected him, Trump was quick to point the finger of blame at somebody else. Congress made him do it. He didn't have a choice. He needed the military funded, so he was in a corner.
Never mind that he had said, after it was passed by the House, that he was in favor of the Bill and would probably sign it. Never mind that he never said one word about having his back to the wall before the Senate passed it. Never mind that many Republicans had come out against the Bill and had, in fact, voted against it. Never mind that he could have vetoed it and explained why, and called Congress back into session to get it straight.
Trump signed it. He knew what he was doing when he signed it. Like the evildoers who wrote and passed the Bill, he immediately left town after he signed it. Evidently, just as with his predecessor, the buck stops anywhere except on the Oval Office desk.
It was a setup, pure and simple. And we're supposed to shut up and take it.
I believe in supporting the man I voted for, but not when he turns his back and lies to the American people. He's become a turncoat. He and Ryan and McConnell have done the country a horrible disservice that I will never, ever forget.

THESE KIDS ARE DEFINITELY NOT TO BLAME
Several high school students in Kentucky have volunteered to take down the U.S. flag everyday, fold and tuck it, and store it for the next day. The process isn’t a school project, and a teacher didn’t ask for volunteers to do it.
Cameron Carroll, Cara McWhirk and Jack Koontz say it's about respect and it makes them feel proud for doing something positive for their community.
It's been many, many months since I've been able to post a blog with such a refreshing and great piece of Americanism.

CLUELESS IN WASHINGTON
Seeing the results of the Pennsylvania Congressional election, Speaker Paul Ryan is now running around like Chicken Little, proclaiming that the Republicans had better watch out because they could lose control of the House in November. He could very well be right.
Why?
Americans elected Trump because they are sick and tired of "business as usual" in Washington. But, Ryan and his progressive establishment GOP good old boy cohorts, while lying that they support Trump, are doing everything possible to subvert his agenda. They're certainly not team players to say the least. Seeing Trump's plans are being stalled and stymied at every turn, Americans are now ready to cast them all out into oblivion.
A few of them, recognizing the handwriting could be on the wall, have already decided not to run for reelection; others are sitting on a fence praying for a miracle. Americans are deciding that if such an incumbent won't get out of the way or change his/her ways, they simply won't vote in November and Democrats will win seats by default.
Here we are, over 17 months after Trump won the election, and these jackasses still don't get the message. They'd rather the country go down in flames than to accept the blame.

TRUMP, GUNS AND DUE PROCESS
President Trump said Wednesday during a White House bipartisan meeting
on school safety and gun violence: "I like taking the guns early, like
in this crazy man's case that just took place in Florida ... to go to
court would have taken a long time. . . take the guns first, go through
due process second." Now that position has raised the backs of a lot of Republicans, the NRA and Constitutional legal scholars over the issue of "due process."
The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution each contain a Due Process Clause. The Due Process Clause acts as a safeguard from arbitrary denial of life, liberty, or property by the government outside the sanction of law. In other words, you can't arbitrarily deprive a citizen of his guns without giving him the opportunity to defend himself in a court of law. Further, I don't know where in the Second Amendment it says that you have the right to bear arms only if you are mentally capable.
That all having been said, I sure as hell don't want some nutcase like Cruz living next door to me with a room full of guns and ammo in his house. I totally agree that he should not have had access to guns in the first place. So, how do we reconcile all of this?
Well, the law says that if you are a felon, you can't own or possess or even touch a gun or a bullet. That law has withstood the Second Amendment as far as the courts are concerned. But, being a felon is not a grey area; you either are, or you are not. How do you determine the mental capacity and stability of an individual? By what measurement and who makes the determination? How are the standards to be defined?
While we figure all of this out and enact laws to deal with the situation, does a guy like Cruz get to continue to own guns until the very moment that he pulls a trigger someplace? Well, I definitely don't think any law enforcement officer has the right to barge into any house and seize guns; that proposition runs contrary to the very fundamentals of freedom. But, I do think that the officer can haul the potential offender downtown and into a court, present the facts, allow the guy to defend himself, and ask the judge to issue a temporary restraining order preventing the loon from owning or possessing until the court can permanently rule on his ability; in the meantime, his guns and ammo could be seized and locked up.
This method would provide "due process" and allow the authorities to temporarily seize his guns in very short order.

That all having been said, I sure as hell don't want some nutcase like Cruz living next door to me with a room full of guns and ammo in his house. I totally agree that he should not have had access to guns in the first place. So, how do we reconcile all of this?
Well, the law says that if you are a felon, you can't own or possess or even touch a gun or a bullet. That law has withstood the Second Amendment as far as the courts are concerned. But, being a felon is not a grey area; you either are, or you are not. How do you determine the mental capacity and stability of an individual? By what measurement and who makes the determination? How are the standards to be defined?
While we figure all of this out and enact laws to deal with the situation, does a guy like Cruz get to continue to own guns until the very moment that he pulls a trigger someplace? Well, I definitely don't think any law enforcement officer has the right to barge into any house and seize guns; that proposition runs contrary to the very fundamentals of freedom. But, I do think that the officer can haul the potential offender downtown and into a court, present the facts, allow the guy to defend himself, and ask the judge to issue a temporary restraining order preventing the loon from owning or possessing until the court can permanently rule on his ability; in the meantime, his guns and ammo could be seized and locked up.
This method would provide "due process" and allow the authorities to temporarily seize his guns in very short order.
