OBAMA FRETS

Barack Hussein Obama is now on his last year in office and he is fretting that he wasn't able to get more cooperation out of Congress and more respect out of Americans.   

Here he is, acting like a pompous, narcissistic, despot king... and now he wants us to like him?  
 

BURNS TURNS... DEADLY

The standoff between BLM, loaw enforcement officials and protesters occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Oregon, turned deadly Tuesday night.  Robert "LaVoy" Finicum, a spokesman for the protesters, and several protest leaders were pulled over by the FBI while they were on their way into Burns to attend a public meeting.  That event lead to a shooting and the death of Finicum as well as a gunshot wound to Ryan Bundy.  The rest of the protest leaders in the cars were arrested and Ammon Bundy, the main leader of the protest, telephoned his wife from the back of a squad car to tell her that Finicum had his hands in the air and was cooperating when he was shot.  All involved law enforcement agencies had refused comment as of post time yesterday.  

Those protesters remaining at the refuge compound dug in their heels and put out a press release asking for reinforcements.  The local sheriff says that he will no longer tolerate the protest and law enforcement officials have sealed off the main road leading to the refuge.  The word is that more agents were being called to the scene and were beginning to surround the area.  

The fact that no one is talking about who fired the first shot and what went down Tuesday night leads me to believe that neither Finicum nor Bundy initiated the shootout.  Undoubtedly, the silence is caused by all law enforcement officials involved wanting to get their stories straight.  

Why don't they just send in some flame-throwing tanks, helicopters and drones and just kill every one of those protesters off?  I wonder if Janet Reno signed off on this operation?  

TRUMP TO FOX: BYE-BYE NOW

Donald Trump announced yesterday that he will not participate in the FOX NEWS Thursday night debates.  This follows FOX's adamant decision to keep Megyn Kelly as a moderator for the debate; Kelly appears to have personal contempt for Trump as evidenced by her overt attempt to sandbag him during the very first debate and, accordingly, has no business participating in this one.  

Instead, Trump plans to host a rally in Iowa to help raise funds for veterans.  What do you suppose would happen to FOX's ratings if some other major network were to broadcast that rally in the same time slot and opposite the debates?  

FOX NEWS has now lost all credibility with me.   

DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN

According to the Clinton camp, Hillary is as innocent as a lamb when it comes to those damned emails.  Yip... the FBI, Inspector General, Congress ... they're all part of that pesky old and vast right-wing conspiracy.  

Gosh; when will they ever learn? 
 

I.R.S. TO FEDERAL JUDGE: UP YOURS

Microsoft received a tax audit conducted by an outside firm hired by the I.R.S.  Microsoft did not receive copies of documents it was legally entitled to see after the audit, to they filed suit.  The Judge ordered the I.R.S. to preserve such documents pending trial, but... the IRS recently admitted in court to erasing the hard drive containing such information. 

Needless to say, the Judge and Members of Congress are "outraged," but how can you blame the I.R.S.?  They've now been misbehaving for years, without any penalty from Congress or the courts whatsoever.  

THAT GREAT HOSTAGE SWAP

The Iranian criminals exchanged for our Americans never boarded a flight to return their native country.  

I would guess that they prefer to stay here in the U.S. with their close personal friend, Barack Hussein Obama, where they'll be protected.  

Where I come from, they'd be locked up for life, or hung.  
 

 

'PALIN IS A MORON"

That's the word coming out of the John McCain camp after Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump Tuesday in Ames, IA.  

Now let's think this through: If Palin IS a moron and McCain chose her as his running mate in 2008, what does that make McCain?

FAST AND FURIOUS DECISION BURNS OBAMA

Way back when, there was an operation called "Fast and Furious" in which guns were illegally sold to members of the Mexican drug cartel.  Allegations surfaced that the operation was designed to give the federal agreement a reason to close down gun shops in cities along the Mexican border.  Many of the weapons sold were later used against federal agents.  

Congress subpoenaed ATF records on the operation and Attorney General Holder refused to deliver them.  Holder was held in Contempt of Congress and sued and the records were ordered to be delivered, but Obama stepped in and exerted Executive Privilege on the documents.  A federal judge has now ruled that the claim of Executive Privilege cannot apply and that the documents must be disclosed.  

Expect Obama to appeal to the Supreme Court unless, of course, they have been destroyed in the interim. 

THE WALMART STORY

Residents of Chinatown in Los Angeles fought for years to get a Walmart; now the store is closing because the city enacted a $15 per hour minimum wage and local unions were trying to organize the store's employees.  Walmart is slated to close another 154 stores across the U.S., just months after it raised its minimum wage to $9.00 with $10.00 scheduled to start in February of this year.  

That's like 15,000 or more people out of work... but those who remain will be getting paid more.  If Walmart wants to remain competitive in the marketplace, it has to hold prices down.  If it ceases to be competitive, there is no reason for its existence.  This is what happened to the steel industry, to the auto industry, to... well, how many jobs have moved overseas?   

The day may well come when there is only one person working in this country, making $2 million an hour and undoubtedly working for the government. 

 

REPUBLICANS BACK DOWN AGAIN

Totally buried in the news of the weekend was this tidbit: The Republicans have dropped their lawsuit against the Obama Administration's Iranian nuclear "deal."  

How disgusting can they get? 

GITMO: AIDING AND ABETTING THE ENEMY

Ten more prisoners were just released to Oman, so silently that first word to us came from a Middle Eastern news source.  Now Congress is "upset."  

We're no different than Congress: we're upset, but we don't do anything about it.  

GITMO is our fault from the very beginning.  Those savage terrorists should never have gotten out of the Middle East alive; that is a fact that every person who has ever served in the military will agree upon.  The proof in the pudding is that at least 30% of those who have been released, even after years at GITMO, have gone back into battle against us.  

Yet, Obama continues to relentlessly ignore the vast majority of Americans who are dead set against such releases... and the "vast majority" doesn't do a damned thing about it.  

We know who to blame, and this time... it is us.  We don't have the guts to do what is right.  
 

SPEAKING FROM HIGH ON THE MOUNT

Barack Hussein Obama, "The Omnipotent One," proclaimed Tuesday night that I.S.I.S. poses no threat to the security of the United States.  All they are is a bunch of thugs and fanatics hiding out in basements and garages.  

Tell that to the families of  tens of thousands of innocents who have been butchered and slaughtered throughout the Middle East, Europe and the United States.  Tell that to the governments of Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Jordan... and Israel. 

Obama has evidently graduated from smoking pot to snorting coke.  

NAVY SAILORS DETAINED BY IRAN

Now, isn't this sweet? 

The sailors were in boats when one of them became disabled, according to Pentagon sources.  They then drifted into Iranian waters and were picked up by Iranian authorities and taken to the Iranian island of Farsi.  The White House was quick to respond that Iran has assured he U.S. that the sailors are safe and sound and will be allowed to continue their journey.  

Okay, if one of the boats became disabled, why didn't the other One(s) tow it, or why didn't nearby Naval ships come to the rescue?  

Something smells like a dead fish in all of this and, since it came on the very eve... within hours of Obama's State of the Union address, you damned well Obama and his thugs have been trying to sweep the problem under the rug. 

One thing is certain: If Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy or Ronald Reagan were president, Iran would be leaving those sailors alone.  
 

HOLY SHADES OF WHITEWATER!

Hillary Clinton is probably thinking, "Where's the Rose Law Firm when you need them?"  

Not only is she in deep do-doo-doo over her email scandal,  not only has one of those email become the "smoking gun" regarding her knowledge of the rules of classified documents, but now... now the F.B.I. has decided to expend its investigation and look at  corruption involving the Clinton Trust Fund.  

She's already called on Bill-the-Lothorio to come to her rescue... maybe she'll even have to bring in the BIG gun... Al Gore?  GASP!!!
 

TEXAS GOVERNOR IS TO BLAME

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is calling for a Constitutional Convention to discuss nine proposed amendments.  Among them is an amendment that would give the individual states the power to disregard or override a federal law.  

Now, I do think a Constitutional Convention is a great idea.  But this particular proposed amendment is a dumb idea.  I suppose he would have to agree that, if Texas enacts a law, its counties would have the right to ignore or override that law, too?  This would certainly lead to anarchy.  A legally and properly enacted law needs to stand until it itself is repealed or changed.  

Abbott's line of thinking is that the government is usurping state's rights in its overreach.  He is absolutely correct.  And the Tenth Amendment covers that: any power not explicitly granted to the federal government within the Constitution belongs to the states.  So, when the federal government enacts a law that it does not have the power to enact, the states should sue in federal court to have the law declared unconstitutional.  Once such a suit is filed, I would think the state would also ask the court to issue a temporary injunction against that law until the matter is settled.  

Abbott needs to get it into his head that he needs to stop trying to make laws to force the government to abide by laws.  The proper remedy is with the courts and he should be suing the hell out of the feds for their countless violations of the Tenth Amendment.  

IF CLINTON GETS CHARGED, THEN WHAT?

With the news yesterday that Hillary had investigated and was aware of a legal loophole in the FOIA regulations that would prevent FOIA requests for any of her emails sent or received through her private server and that she deliberately used her own server to avoid disclosing her activities, and with the discovery that some 1,200 of the emails sent and received through that server were classified, the probability looms that the FBI will recommend charges against her.  So the question arises, "then what?"  

Well, it's not quite cut and dry.  The Justice Department could refuse to prosecute at all, or it could delay a decision on the matter until after the November elections.  I think it is highly unlikely that they would proceed to actually file charges against her before the election because if they don't and if she does get elected and later impeached, there will still be a Democrat, (her VP), in the White House.  The alternative, of course, is that she drops out of the race and then Bernie Sanders gets the nomination.  

Or, the Democrats could go into their convention without a clear candidate and hand the nomination to Michelle Obama or John Kerry.  

One thing you can be assured of: the top canines in the Democrat Party have already fully explored their options in some smoke-filled pizza bar in a dark, dark alley of Washington.  
 

THE BIG BANG THEORY

Obama's new gun control measures loosen up HIPPA restrictions and allow medical doctors to provide names of patients with mental problems to law enforcement agencies responsible for issuing gun permits.  In theory, this sounds like a good move toward preventing nut cases from getting their hands on guns.  

Well, forget the fact that anyone can buy a gun on the streets these days.  Suppose a doctor sees a patient for halitosis and the patient subsequently runs out and shoots somebody.  Can the doctor be charged with failing to recognize and diagnose mental problems and make a report?  What if the doctor's staff makes a mistake and reports Ima Peabody as having mental problems when, in fact, she does not?  Who is to blame when Ima gets turned down for a gun permit and subsequently gets murdered because she couldn't defend herself? 

HOW BAD THINGS HAPPEN

A man who was holding a cell phone was fatally shot by cops in Las Vegas.  They were going after him because he was wanted in Arizona for various crimes, and they thought the cell phone in his hand was a gun. 

Now, I want to explain why I'm mentioning this story.  One morning, I gazed out my kitchen window to see a strange car parked in my driveway.  As it would later turn out, the driver was definitely under the influence of drugs.  Not knowing who he was or why he was there, I approached the car cautiously from the rear; my .40 caliber Glock was in my back pocket, fully loaded and ready to fire.   

Evidently, I awakened him and he saw me in the car's rear-view mirror.  So, he started to get out and collapsed in a drugged stupor on the gravel below the car door.  Then, I saw a gun in his hand.  As he was fumbling around on the ground, I backed away and retreated to the house; there's no sense getting into a gun fight if you don't have to. 

Of course, I called the cops and explained the guy in the driveway had a gun, and they showed up lickety-split.  By this time, the driver was back in the car and sleeping again.  The cops surrounded the car, guns drawn, and ordered him out.  He stumbled back out and they arrested him without incident.  And as for the gun... it turned out to be a cell phone.   

I fully understand how the shooting in Vegas occurred.  
 

GUN CONTROL: DON'T BLAME REPUBLICANS

Obama's mantra these days is that the Republicans are to blame for all of the gun shootings in the country today because they have blocked his gun control measures in Congress.  

Evidently, he forgets the days when when he had control of the White House and both houses of Congress and could do anything he damned-well wanted. 

150 MUSLIMS FIRED

About 150 Muslims were fired by Cargill Meat Solutions in Colorado.  They had walked out after demanding that times be set aside for them during the work day for prayer breaks.  Some 200 originally walked out, but many returned. CAIR is now "negotiating" to get jobs back for the remaining Muslims.  

I wonder if anyone is going to lose their head over THIS?
