There are those out there on the conservative Republican side who are saying that both sides need to conduct themselves with civility. While I don't disagree with the idea, that stance implies that we Americans bear some blame for the total breakdown of civilized society we are witnessing, and I totally disagree with that notion.
In fact, we've been very reserved and somewhat complacent over the past couple of decades, while the obnoxious clamor from the left and the Democrats has been growing continually more obscene and vitriolic. What is occurring right now in this country is nothing short of domestic terrorism... threatening and intimidating for the sole purpose of scaring us into submission. Obviously, trying to take the high road and to be polite about it is not the solution.
The only answer seems to be for us to get right back in their faces. These terrorist bullies only care about their agendas; they have no concept of the word "civility" and have no intention of learning what the word means. They don't give a damn whether we like their behavior or not; any attempt on our part to defuse situations or calm things down is being taken by them as a sign of weakness.
Don't tell me, either, that Peter Fonda's new calls for Kirstjen Nielsen to be stripped naked, pilloried and whipped is not, like Maxine Water's calls for harassing conservatives, a shout for physical assault, battery and violence. I'm supposed to be civil over that?
I, for one, will be damned if I am going to cow-tow to a bunch of thugs. Those who say we have to cave in and continue to be civil are advocating for mob rule.
With the Democrats openly calling for members of their party to get in the faces of conservatives and Trump employees, people with NRA stickers on their windshields, Make America Great Again ball caps or plastic buttons advocating for border walls are now targets for what has all of the earmarks of turning violent.
Has the time come for all of us to get concealed carry permits and to start carrying everywhere we go?
For over a year now, various House Committees have been seeking up to a million documents related to the Clinton investigation, FBI and DOJ corruption, the "dossier," and other matters. The DOJ and FBI have frustrated those efforts at every turn. Just as subpoenas are finally threatened, the FBI or DOJ turn over some more documents.
Going into last Friday, the Republicans were squawking that if they didn't have their documents by Friday night, citations of contempt abd articles of impeachment would follow. Sure enough, just like clockwork, the DOJ turned over some more documents at the very last minute... 1,000 of them, to be exact. As I recall, that makes a total of about 5,000 documents turned over during the last year, when a million are being asked for.
Those jackass House Republicans are, once again, telling us that's fine with them, they understand the delay, blah,. blah, blah. I can hardly wait until November when we finally vote these obstructionist RINOs out of office. What an outright, in-your-face farce!
First they demand amnesty, then they refuse to take Trump up on it. Then they want families reunited immediately at the border and when that happens, it's not good enough. They want Trump to secure some kind of meaningful peace with North Korea; when he makes a breakthrough and sets up a meeting, they're screaming that Trump doesn't know what he's doing and will sell America down the river, (as if Obama didn't). When that meeting gets canceled, they cheer while carping out that Trump doesn't know spit about foreign policy. When the meeting gets back on, they all ignore that fact; and when the meeting reaches a positive conclusion, there's no mention of it because... they're all too busy chastising Trump over the G7 Summit. Every time there's a Bill up for vote in the Senate that Trump backs, not a single Democrat votes for it.
The media is so full of fake and distorted news, so empty of the real news of the day... they've become total puppets of the George Soros-Barack Obama mafia.
We're in serious trouble, and unless we step up to the plate and do something about it, the blame is going to shift to us.
I for one am sick and tired of the damned border issues that have been dragging on for most of my 76 years of age. They have not gotten any better; they have only gotten worse and are at the boiling point. They're at the boiling point because the Democrats have chosen to ignore what is right or legal, and to use illegal immigration as a political tool.
Here's how to stop the damned issue once and for all:
- Reunite the kids with their parents
- Charge the parents with illegal entry
- Ship the families back to where they came from, telling them that if they ever enter our country again legally or illegally, they will be prosecuted on the illegal entry charges and sent to jail
- Build the border wall
- Electrify the border wall and line it with tanks and machine guns
- Tell the Democrats to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.
I don't give a damn what Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi think about it. Get the illegals out of this country... period. NO amnesty, no deals.
Enough is enough.
It's so easy to sit in ivory towers and point the finger of blame at others. Laura Bush, bless her pea-pickin' little ol' heart, came out over the weekend and lambasted President Trump over the issue of the poor, sad children separated from their parents at the border. "It's humane and it's cruel" and something needs to be done about it.
Well, why didn't your husband do something about the immigration problems when he was president? Why didn't he build the wall? And now that you're full of pious criticism, just how do you propose to fix the problem today? Why haven't you folks opened up your ranch to take them in?
You liberals are all the same: You're full of problems that you create, but you refuse to step up to the plate and help fix them.
The Democrats would have you believe the problem with the illegals and their children is our fault. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
We didn't create the circumstances inviting illegals to cross the border in the first place; the Dems did. They're the ones who flatly refuse to obey our immigration laws and who to this day are doing everything possible to keep our southern border wide open. As Trump says, not only are we inviting the illegals, but we're inviting gangs, drugs and other criminals as well; once here, we're protecting them from deportation.
Nevertheless, the illegals all know it is illegal to come here except through the proper immigration process. And believe me, they all know that they are likely to be separated from their children once they get caught; they're going to jail and their children are going to end up in Child Protective Services. When the separation occurs, the courts require the children to be released only to parents first, then qualified relatives, then CPS... in that order.
The Dems and the RINOs want to keep the borders open so the illegals will continue to come and vote for them. They don't care if gangs, criminals and drugs come along. They are now whining that it's unfair to the kids and parents to keep them separated and blaming us. Well, you can't have the kids in jail with their parents, so the next logical step, I suppose, is to snot end the illegal parents to jail. All of this is being orchestrated by the left-wingers.
The proper thing to do is to deport the parents and children back to whence they came, along with strong warning: if we catch you crossing the border again, that amounts to cruelty to your kids and you are going to jail, and your kids are going to end up in foster care or being adopted out; you'll never see them again.
Liberals have no right to blame me or whine to me about the problems that they caused.
By their own actions, arrogant members of the press corps have proven themselves to be totally unworthy of their tasks.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to “subpoena” emails,
phone records and other documents from lawmakers and staff on a
Republican-led House committee during a tense meeting earlier this year unless the committee laid off its investigative tactics. A House committee staffer said: “Let me just add that watching the Deputy Attorney
General launch a sustained personal attack against a congressional
staffer in retaliation for vigorous oversight was astonishing and
disheartening. ... Also, having the nation’s #1 (for these matters) law
enforcement officer threaten to 'subpoena your calls and emails' was
downright chilling.”
If this isn't firm evidence that the DOJ now considers itself above the law and brands itself... and the FBI for that matter... as America's Gestapo, then what is?
By our own failures to act, have we transformed our country from being a nation of laws into being a nation of sinister, power-mongering and corrupt despots?
You may remember the big "March for Our Lives" protest in Washington D.C. after the Parkland school shooting. The media was all over it, because it was the "victim kids" who had had enough and were demanding we do something about gun control. The fact is, the 850,000 students claimed to be there numbered only 200,000, and most of those were over 18. In fact, the average age was 49 and most of the organizers were seasoned activists. Nevertheless, the left was demanding repeal of the second amendment and total gun control.
More and more voices are being heard demanding repeal, including the Vice Chair of the DNC who says the 2nd Amendment is an 18th century relic. Hollywood celebrities are even demanding gun confiscation. Major businesses are flaring at their nostrils with anti-gun rhetoric; You Tube, Facebook, CitiBank, Dick's Sporting Goods and other prominent businesses are at the forefront of the anti-gun movement.
The anti-Trumpers are tying Trump into the NRA while calling members of the NRA "domestic terrorists." In short, there is a full-blown push to make the crooks and thugs the only ones with guns in the country. And the dialogue is missing the whole damned point: it wasn't you or me or the NRA members who walked into that school and started shooting. It appears to me that we have become the guilty ones and he is getting off scot-free.
But, the real message here is that forces outside of the grumblers... some outside influence... is pushing for the repeal. Who?
What do Hillary Clinton, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Nancy Pelosi all have in common? The answer is Imran Awan.
Awan is the Pakistani who was the IT guy in a whole slew of Congressional offices, and who got caught stealing a whole bunch of federally-owned computer gear. When it was discovered that he was shipping a pile of information out of those offices to points unknown, he got barred from everyone's computer systems except... Debbie Wasserman Schultz' computers; she kept him employed for many months after the allegations were made public. Awan subsequently committed bank fraud and left the country.
What is interesting is that Schultz was appointed by Hillary to be the chair of the DNC. Schultz subsequently got busted for arranging the primary defeat of Bernie Sanders, so Clinton put Schultz on her personal campaign payroll. It was also discovered during this period that the Russians may have gained access to the DNC computers, but neither Clinton or Schultz wanted the FBI to take a look at the DNC computers because... well, there must have been something on them that they didn't want the FBI to see. The FBI, currently on the hot seat for doing everything it could to get Clinton elected, mysteriously agreed not to investigate the computers further.
Pelosi's computers were also allegedly handled by Awan and, if I recall correctly, she initially also stood behind him. But, when the atmosphere got to be too hot to handle, she eventually kicked Awan off of her system... long before Schultz did. Nevertheless, it appears that Pelosi and an outraged Schultz have been actively trying to divert and subvert investigations into the Awan episodes. Hearings on the charges of the bank fraud have mysteriously been delayed, delayed and delayed.
As things seem to be coming to a head, one wonders how Awan was hired without any background or security checks, who orchestrated that maneuver and why.
Just why is it taking so long for the Inspector General's Report to be made public? It took many months to complete that investigation, compile the facts, interpret the gathered evidence and reach solid conclusions. This was all done by a man considered by Republicans and Democrats to be fair, objective and thorough.
The IG himself has a major top security clearance and I am sure he had the final document reviewed by his peers before he said, "It's done." There is no justifiable reason for the delay in the release of this document other than... Those in charge at the DOJ and the FBI want to clean it up so it doesn't make them look bad.
They just delayed the release for another week. It's obviously a cover up. And who do you blame for that, Mr. Sessions?
If Samantha Bee is so unhappy with the way we Americans have chosen to elect our leaders and run our country, why doesn't she have the common decency to pack her damned bags and head back to Canada?
Why this country tolerates foreigners who come to our country and berate our system and our way of life, I'll never know. I can only conclude that the Canadians got sick and tired of her bull and ran her out of their country.
It's time we did the same.
