On Jan. 29, 2002, in his State of the Union address, President George W.
Bush branded Iran and its "terrorist allies" as part of "an axis of evil,"
arming themselves to threaten the peace of the world. Included in his definition of the "Axis" were Iraq and North Korea, because all three were actively pursuing "weapons of mass destruction," including nuclear arms.
Today, over thirteen years later and after thousands of American lives were lost in the Middle East during the aftermath of 9/11, North Korea has nukes, Iran has been given the green light to get nukes, and Russia and Syria have joined the Axis with the likely intention of turning Iraq into its former power and influence among terrorist nations.
And Obama is running around with a huge smile on his face, incessantly patting himself on the back for getting us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, while our impotent Congress wrings its wrists and disperses empty words of hot air.
My fellow Americans, this all happened on our watch.
