This has gone largely unnoticed in the media, but New Mexico's Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham ordered all National Guard troops out of the area of state's border with Mexico on Tuesday. “I reject the federal contention that there exists an overwhelming
national security crisis at the southern border, along which are some of
the safest communities in the country,” she said. “New Mexico will not take part in the president’s charade of border
fear-mongering by misusing our diligent National Guard troops.”
I don't think New Mexico will continue to be the "Land of Enchantment" much longer. As for Grisham, maybe she'll end up being Elizabeth Warren's Vice-Presidential pick. Small minds think alike...
