The basic question was, "Does the NSA actively go
through citizen emails and telephone records without reason?" And the
answer was, essentially: "We don't have the authority to do that."
Well,
they may not have the authority to do that, but I'd like to know if
they do it anyway. I've head that response a lot lately from different
agencies: "We don't have the authority to do that." That doesn't answer
the question and the fact that the ploy was used at all leads me to
suspect the worst.
Hopefully, one of these days maybe they'll quit the
damned game playing and get around to what actually happened at
Benghazi, etc, etc, etc.
