TAX SHAFT: It’s Only A Matter Of When

Our most-highly celebrated Congress has decided to go home and wait until after the elections to “reach their decision” on whether or not to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire.

What does that mean? Well, let’s think it through together.

Leaving the Republicans aside because we all know where they stand, if the rest of them who happen to hold the majority in both houses and who WILL hold that majority until Congress reseats in January, intend to keep the Bush tax cuts in place, they’d vote on it now to try and gain favor with their constituents. If they intend to keep the cuts in place for the middle class and to raise taxes on the rich, they don’t want to do that right now because that will simply tick off both sides. If they intend to let the Bush tax cuts expire completely and give the whole nation the shaft, they’ll also wait until after the election so they can claim it as a “pay back” for losing both Houses of Congress.

So, it’s one of the latter two.

Nancy Pelosi has already made it plain as day that she intends to see all of the Bush tax cuts expire. Reid is a vengeful man and, after he loses in November, he’ll be all primed to let the Bush tax cuts expire entirely.

All of this conjecturing pretty much paints the picture, doesn’t it? Hold on to your knapsacks.

More than that, the fact that the present majority doesn’t have the guts to stand and be counted before the election underscores the dirty, rotten and conniving ways they have managed themselves for the past two years, with the Health Care Bill, stimulus, etc, etc, etc. The more I see of these lying, two-faced sacks of el toro pupu, the angrier I become. They have played the American public as suckers for so long, I can’t remember.

Joe Biden, the Archbishop of Candor, even had the temerity to tell them to quit their whining.

I don’t know about you, but I am sick and tired of the whole damned bunch. I’m to the point I don’t want to hear from them, I don’t want to hear about them and I sure as hell don’t want to hear that they’ve been reelected.

Can’t blame me for that, can you?
