MORE BAD NEWS
Late yesterday, word came that the Brits will not support us in an attack on Syria, and the Egyptian rebels threatened to shut down the Suez Canal if we do. Last night, there was a big conference call with 26 top leaders of Congress and Secretary of State Kerry. Presumably, Obama was so uptight over the audacity of the Brits to refuse to support him that he was unable to speak with the Congressional folks himself. This morning, Obama's idol President Jimmy Carter said that unilateral action without Congressional approval wold be illegal and unconstitutional.
It will be interesting to see what cards he now plays. He painted himself into this corner. If he acts, he faces condemnation from his beloved United Nations, Congress and the American people. If he does nothing, he will most certainly be the laughing stock of the Middle East. Maybe we should all get together and bake him some humble pie.

RUSSIAN WARSHIPS HEADED TOWARD SYRIA
The headlines spell it out; at least two Russian warships...an anti-sub vessel and a missile cruiser... are being deployed to the Mediterranean. Russia is one of Assad's biggest arms suppliers; it opposes any military intervention in Syria and has shielded Damascus
against further sanctions at the U.N. Security Council.
Now then, Mr. President, what is next? We Americans all know that you will be madder than hell if you don't get your way, and that you are more than ticked off at Assad's audacity in defying your anti-chemical stance. We're also aware of your desperate need to shift attention from the upcoming first anniversary of the Benghazi Massacre which you continue to cover up and stonewall.
I suppose the real question is, if your actions lead us into World War III, who will you blame this time?

SYRIA DECISION: BEHIND THE SCENES
It has just occurred to me in the middle of tea, that the unseen force behind Obama's decision regarding Syria may well be the need to put Benghazi, the I.R.S., D.O.J. and N.S.A. scandals on the way, way back burner. If that's the case, you can darn well take it to the bank that our military action in Syria is imminent.

THIS WASN'T RACIST?
Delbert Belton was beaten to death by two black teenagers wielding flashlights. That was not a racist act.
Charles Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin during a fight in which Zimmerman feared for his life. THAT was racist?
NOW the President zips his lip. NOW we know who is really stirring up the flames of racism in this country, don't we?

ANOTHER STUPID BENGHAZI MOVE?
Well, we all know that Obama had nothing to do with Fast & Furious, the Benghazi Massacre, the I.R.S. targeting, the D.O.J. monitoring of the press or the N.S.A. "accidental" spying on millions of Americans, correct? I'm sure Hillary would be the first to say that all of these events were part of a vaaaast right wing conspiracy. You guessed it: I'm writing this on Friday afternoon and I'm into the sauce already.
When the heat got to be almost unbearable on the Benghazi Massacre, the White House popped up with the "we know who did it" story and said they were gong after the bad guys. Two weeks later, we're supposedly telling our guys to get out of Libya and get home while the getting is good; we're calling off that "chase and capture" scenario. But, is that the real story, or is it more cover-up? Did we even send anyone to Libya?
I've said for months, ever since it happened, that there is some really serious issue involved in the Benghazi story that Obama was willing to risk his reelection on in order to stonewall. I believe his trip to Vegas was his way of trying to wash his hands and walk away from the dirty mess. I further believe that he is preventing the 30 or so people who were at Benghazi from coming forth because they collectively know enough to end his Presidency. That being said, does he really want the perpetrators to be brought to justice, where they in turn might spill whatever beans there are to spill?
Don't you wish Edward Snowden knew something about Benghazi?
As it stands, the only thing WE know about Benghazi is that the four State Department people who were "fired" but kept on the payroll anyway are now back on the job. That's the sum of it; that's all we know, one year later.

HERE WE GO WITH ANOTHER "INVESTGATION"
First, we had them denying that the N.S.A. was spying on Americans and insiting that Edward Snowden was a treasonous cad. Then we had an admission that there were "occasional, inadvertent" mistakes. Then, there were a few thousand, perhaps. Then, that lie was modified by adding, "per year." Now that we know that it has been 56,000 and more per year and that the FISA Court rebuked them for their dirty deeds way back in 2011, the story is that Obama was "concerned" about N.S.A. from the beginning and ordered a "review" but was assured everything was okay.
So, he's ordered an investigation, just like he did in Fast & Furious. Just like he did in Benghazi. Just like he ordered in I.R.S. Just like he did at Department of Justice. The only difference is that Holder isn't conducting this investigation; former N.S.A. directors are.
Oh, wow. I'm just soooo placated.

N.S.A. DIGGING ITSELF INTO DEEPER HOLE
Tuesday, we learned that the N.S.A. has been able to monitor 75% of all email traffic in the country, whether there were terrorist ties or not. Yesterday, we learned they had been chastised by the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, (FISA), for collecting thousands of emails and other online details from Americans with no ties to terrorism, according to court opinions released yesterday. Some of those incidents were minor, but the documents released yesterday detail major compliance problems.
Contrary to what the N.S.A. has been saying, (first it was a few thousand, then it was several thousand per year), the N.S.A. has been collecting and saving up to 56,000 emails and other communications not connected to terrorism per year. The court ruled that when it gathered up such large packets of
information, they included actual contents of emails between American citizens, and
it violated the Constitution's ban against unauthorized search and
seizure.
Given the Administration's spying on journalists, the Associated Press and FOX NEWS; given the admitted I.R.S. targeting of conservative organizations and individuals; and given these revelations, it becomes readily apparent that there has been a systemic and deliberate effort to gather information on Americans outside the parameters of any laws. I can only presume that the reason was to obtain information that could be used to shut down dissent of members of Congress, of members of the press, and of everyday Americans who are vocalizing their disgust with this outlaw government.
Those are things they do in Russia, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, China.......

I.R.S. BULL
Three months after the original I.R.S. scandal broke about targeting of conservative groups and individuals, the I.R.S. came out yesterday and alleged they had also targeted Democrat-leaning groups such as remnants of ACORN, etc. So, they ask, why the big fuss?
Why did they wait three months to come out with that? I smell one big rat. It's just another Benghazi Massacre lie and coverup, patterned after Fast & Furious. This is definitely not over yet.

WAS BENGHAZI EVER INVESTIGATED?
Since there have been no revelations about anything regarding Benghazi, one must wonder if any investigations were ever conducted. What was learned late yesterday is that four State Department Officials placed under administrated leave after the massacre and who were going to be "terminated," have been reinstated to their jobs. The 30 on-the-ground witnesses are still being forbidden to testify before Congress. Obviously, Obama intends that the Benghazi story will suffer the same fate as Fast and Furious.
Don't you really want to know why there is this massive, in our face coverup?

WASHINGTON POST REVEALS ADMINISTRATION LIES
While the country has been laying the blame for illegal N.S.A. domestic spying on a run-away Administration, the Administration has been claiming that the N.S.A. is constantly scrutinized by all three major branches of government: the Executive Branch, the Judicial Branch and the Congress. Last Thursday, the WASHINGTON POST proved all three claims to be a fallacy. The revelations by Edward Snowden prove that the Executive Branch has not been supervising what goes on at N.S.A.
The Post presents a second article in which the Chief Judge of the FISA Court admits that the court is unable to act as a watchdog or stop the NSA’s abuses: “The FISC is forced to rely upon the accuracy of the information that is provided to the Court,” its chief, US District Judge Reggie B. Walton, said in a written statement. “The FISC does not have the capacity to investigate issues of noncompliance.” So much for judicial oversight.
Finally, if you can believe anybody on the Hill, Congress is claiming that they didn't know of the extent of the domestic spying, either. Various committees which should be doing oversight activities are not meeting at all and members are being kept in the dark about N.S.A. activities.
In trying to worm out of it's failures, the N.S.A. says the thousands of instances of illegal domestic spying each year since 2008 have been due to "accident" and should therefore be disregarded. Various Congressional leaders, such as Peter King and John McCain, insist the country doesn't have anything to worry about and we need to continue the N.S.A. program in order to protect our national security.
I say that the only mistake involved here is that we have the wrong people in political offices in Congress and the White House. And, I wonder just how many of those "accidental spying incidents" involved political enemies of the President.

D.O.J. & F.B.I. IN ELECTION FRAUD
Well, we all know what the I.R.S., D.O.J. and N.S.A. scandals are all about... throwing the election to Obama. Now, we have the D.O.J. and the F.B.I. who both quietly acknowledge that they colluded in supply the public with inflated facts about a mortgage fraud crackdown just before the November elections. According to a memo circulated by the FBI and a correction posted online
by the Justice Department, the number of defendants, the number of
victims and the size of the losses are, in reality, a fraction of what
officials claimed last October.
Talk about phoney, Mr. President, I think the whole election was a non-phoney fraud on the American public and I further think that you and your lackeys need to be held accountable... NOW.

I.R.S. HAS PROBLEMS WITH SAME-SEX MARRIAGES
Holy cow! The I.R.S. has been caught with its pants down. I wonder who is going to get screwed now?
Since the Supreme Court ruled that the D.O.M.A. was unconstitutional and gays can marry, they don't seem to know how to treat gay married couples from a tax standpoint or from the ObamaCare standpoint. In the meantime, of course, the I.R.S. continues to sit on applications both new and old from conservative groups for 501 (c) (4) status. I'll bet you they resolve the gay marriage issue long before they quit attacking conservative groups. I mean, is Holder going to straighten them out? Yeah, right.

400 MISSILES STOLEN DURING BENGHAZI ATTACK
MAIL ONE is reporting a former U.S. Attorney who represents
whistle-blowers with knowledge of what happened when armed militants
attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya last year says 400
surface-to-air missiles were taken from Libya during the attack, and
that the U.S. intelligence community is terrified they might be used to
shoot down airliners.
That would certainly explain a lot, wouldn't it? And who might be to blame for this?

OBAMACARE MAY START WITHOUT ADEQUATE SECURITY
While ObamaCare is scheduled to start October 1st, a new wrinkle is that the data security system is not, as of this date, ready and is months behind schedule. The missed deadlines have pushed the government's decision on whether
information technology security is up to snuff to exactly one day before
that crucial date. The exchanges may therefore open without adequate security.
There have been multiple problems in the initiation of ObamaCare, many of them critical. Labor unions are against the system and Congress has found a way to essentially exempt themselves from its consequences. This is a horrible scheme being perpetrated upon the U.S. for the sole purpose of massaging the President's ego. Why can't we simply name a garbage barge after him and let it go at that?

OBAMA DID IT! NOT US!
Obama's the one who created a loophole around the ObamaCare provisions and found a way to let them escape all of the provisions and penalties of ObamaCare. Members of Congress just voiced their gripes and Obama came to their rescue. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Amen!
They get theirs and we get the shaft... Again.

F.E.C. COLLABORATED WITH I.R.S. AGAINST CONSERVATIVES
I wondered when they would get around to this: the Vice Chairman of the Federal Election Commission has said the F.E.C. worked closely with the I.R.S. in targeting conservative groups, and probably conservative candidates, during last year's elections. In other words, the agency responsible for collecting American taxes was engaged in undermining the American political system.
The F.E.C. is charged with certifying that elections are conducted according to the law. There were many serious questions after the 2008 elections pertaining to a huge volume and dollar value of foreign contributions to the Obama campaign. The F.E.C., after Obama took office, said that there was no basis for further investigation and ended up certifying the election sometime during the 2012 election.

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE: BENGHAZI COVERUP EXPANDS
Breaking late Friday, the news is that C.I.A. agents and others on the ground at the Benghazi Massacre are being required to change their names and are being dispersed throughout the country to prevent them from testifying before Congress. Just prior to this revelation came news that agents were repeatedly being coerced into signing confidentiality agreements although they had already done so and that they were being given polygraph examinations to determine if they had said anything to anybody. This is all under threat of losing their jobs and, I presume, going to jail if they violate the terms of their non-disclosure agreements.
Obviously, no one... no one is every going to find the truth about Benghazi if Obama has his way. That means to me that crime has been committed, including obstruction of justice and contempt of Congress, plus whatever else it is that they are trying to coverup.
For Americans to sit here with their mouths shut while this goes on is inexcusable.

WILL THE STALLS SUCCEED?
Not wanting to be blamed for "phony" scandals, the Democrats and the Administration have been pulling out all of the stops to keep any testimony of value or any pertinent documents involving any of those "phony" scandals from coming out until the August vacation hit. Now, they can all flitter away from the crime scene and when they come back... it'll be budget time and there'll be no time to get back into the scandal hearing mode.
It's up to you and me to make sure that doesn't happen. When they are out and about in the hinterlands, we need to nail them on just what it is they intend to do about getting answers for us. When they go back, we need to have their mailbags and email boxes so full of noise that they can't hear themselves think.
Every single one of these "phony" scandals is serious stuff, where people have gone to jail in the past. Someone is to blame and someone has the answers. We simply can't allow those people to be intimidated and threatened into keeping their mouths shut; the fact that such threats are being made is prima facie evidence that something criminal has been going on. We cannot give up until the truth comes out.

BENGHAZI STONEWALL BOMBSHELL!
I never thought I'd be in the position of thanking CNN News for anything, but they deserve big-time kudos for breaking this story.
The CIA is polygraphing its operatives on a regular basis in an “unprecedented” effort to prevent Benghazi secrets from leaking out, CNN’s Drew Griffin is reporting, citing unnamed inside sources. The CIA was on the ground at Benghazi during the attack, according to the story; why they were there is not known.
Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency's missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency's workings. The goal of the questioning is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress. It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information would face the end of his or her career. One employee says, "You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation."
Such pressure surely comes directly from the top and, as far as I am concerned, that means the White House. The White House, Obama in particular, has done everything from the very moment the first shot was fired to obfuscate, confuse and stonewall. I am of the considered opinion that, one we get to the bottom of this, Obama will be impeached and ridden out of the country on a rail.

CONGRESS CHARGES HOLDER WITH DECEPTIVE TESTIMONY
Late yesterday afternoon, word came that the House of Representatives is charging Eric Holder with deliberately deceiving Congress during testimony regarding the Justice Department illegal investigations of the Associated Press and Fox News reporter James Rosen. The 70-page report was released late Wednesday by Republicans on the
House Judiciary Committee. To coincide with the release, lawmakers also
wrote a letter to President Obama calling for a "change in leadership"
at the Justice Department. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/07/31/republican-report-concludes-holder-misled-congress-on-reporter-targeting/#ixzz2af9RgvQa.
Well, it seems that someone in Congress has developed the courage to point the finger of blame to where it belongs. What we do not know is whether or not these illegal attempts to compromise freedom of the press were done with Obama's knowledge, support and/or direction. Give it a few days and there will probably be another Contempt of Congress Citation and another proclamation of Executive Privilege.
