Everyone in the Obama administration is quickly coming to the rescue of Obama's $400 million payment to Iran made in unmarked foreign currency bills. They are quick to insist that the four hostages released at precisely the same moment the plane landed had nothing to do with the payment.
Yesterday, one of the released hostages revealed that they had been taken to the airport and told they would be boarding the plane to leave in about 20 minutes, but were then told they'd have to wait until "another plane landed." No further explanation was forthcoming, but the Iranians obviously decided they wanted the money on the ground before they released the hostages. When that other plane did land many hours later, the hostages were immediately loaded onto their plane and flown out of Iran.
The Justice Department, having been advised that the deal was about to be made, tried to prevent the exchange. They were adamantly overruled by the State Department, obviously with the blessings of the White House.
I wonder if any of that $400 million found its way into the Clinton Foundation. Just sayin...
