OBAMA CALLED A "LIAR" DURING SPEECH

In an unusual outburst from the Republican side of Aisle, Representative Joe Wilson, R-S.C., shouted out "You lie" when the president said illegal immigrants would not benefit from his new Government-Run Health Care Plan. Obama continued his speech without suggesting that a provision might be included in the Bill to rule out Illegal Aliens from taking advantage of the plan at our expense.

That single moment defined everything that the President had to say as he addressed Congress and the nation.

There was nothing new in his speech, but there were denials that what the public is increasingly saying about the plan is true. He continued to insist, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that he can increase coverage, improve insurance and reduce costs... all at the same time. In the same breath, he said that seniors would not not be adversely impacted by his plan.

In suggesting that he will cut $600 billion plus from Medicare, he virtually guaranteed that the Medicare Advantage program that retirees have the option of buying in to will be eliminated, meaning that health care for seniors will, in fact, get worse. And how any body in their right mind has the gall to stand up before America and tell us that the government is going to cut costs on ANY government program is way beyond me.

His speech is dismissive of all of the issues we Americans have put forth in Town Hall Meetings this summer. He so much as thumbed his nose at us. He did indicate that he might be willing to give in on the "Government Option," but this comes after a remark from a top Democratic Congresswoman this morning to the effect that such a "waiver" of the Presidents "option" would only be temporary.

Frankly, as I have been saying for several months... This Government-Run Health Care Plan is going to be crammed down our throats whether we like it or not. Obviously, you did not make yourselves heard in the Town Hall Meetings. And the President and his puppets in Congress obviously think that you and I are not going to do anything about it. They think that, just as we've always done, we ARE going to shut up and get out of the way.

Could they be correct?
