Barack Hussein Obama has been on the outs with Germany's Angela Merkel ever since it was discovered that the U.S. had been tapping into her cell phone at his personal direction. Now that he's at the G-7 Summit, he decided to try and mend fences. Obama and Merkel planned to open his visit yesterday with a public display of
friendliness, delivering remarks about the U.S. ~ German alliance before
they stroll through the picturesque alpine village of Kruen to sample
the Bavarian food and sights.
How nice. Maybe they'll have a German beer in the Rhone Garden.
