That’s a mouthful. That’s scary. How can that be?
You and I both know that our government never tells us the truth about such things. If we were to find out today that Iran had produced enough nuclear material to make two bombs, for example, we would be safe to assume that Iran had that nuclear material a year ago and our government knew it. It just came out today, but it happened a year ago. Agreed?
Well, Leon Panetta said on June 27, 2010, that Iran has enough nuclear material to make two bombs. He also said that he felt that Iran could actually produce those bombs within two years. The question is: how far are they really away from having two nuclear bombs? I say that two years is a lie. Will we awaken tomorrow to find out that they already have those two nukes? Wait a minute. If Panetta is saying two, is it actually four or six or ten?
Even nearby nations, normally antagonistic to the United States and sympathetic to Iran, are now concerned. Here’s something more to consider: We know and accept that Iran wants to nuke Israel and most of those countries would be happy to see it happen. But, after Israel, what then?
Iran has had its eyes focused on Iraq for years, even centuries. Being a radical Islamic country, why stop with Israel or Iraq? Egypt has been friends with us, off and on; certainly, they must be a target. Turkey, for sure. Actually, it doesn’t take much imagination to see Iran going after the entire Middle East.
Who would stop them? China? Russia? France?
Iran is another World War II Germany in the making. The United States, fully cognizant of the danger, has been pussy-footing around with Iran for at least five years. This waltz has always been with Iran at the lead. We would like to think we are putting heat on Iran, but they know and we know in our hearts that all we have been doing is drawing lines in the sand and continuously backing up, hissing and pissing in the wind and then drawing new lines.
The only thing that has been accomplished in the last five years, for example, is that Iran is now five years closer to having their nukes. That’s all; nothing else has transpired.
LONDON, (AP January 1, 2012) Two nuclear weapons were detonated in Israel this morning, one in Tel-Aviv and one in Hebron. There has been no word from Israeli authorities as to the extent of damages or loss of lives. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a statement in Tehran claiming victory for Iran and Islam.
We know the day is coming, and soon. Do we, by our passionate display of weakness, want to be to blame for this?
