MEXICO FALLING INTO ANARCHY?

The number of drug related deaths in Mexico is growing by the second. Victims are found hanging upside down from their legs, with their heads lopped off. Bullets are flying in all directions, including over the border and into American homes and businesses. Every day brings more stories of judges and civic leaders being murdered and major cities falling into anarchy.

Americans living in Mexico are now being pried out of their comfortable retirement abodes and are flocking back across the border, fleeing for their lives. Now, more than ever, Mexicans are looking to the North for a venue of safe haven.

The Obama Administration has responded with great aplomb: they’re adding 1,200 National Guard troops to the border and another 1,000 Border Patrol agents as well. Word is wafting about in Washington that Obama is preparing to open the borders wide and to offer to house and feed the fleeing Mexicans and to provide them with some of the trappings of health care, education, housing, and jobs. Usually, when something wafts around the streets and alleys of Washington, there’s substance to it.

I’m not suggesting that we should turn our backs on humanity. But, let me ask you a question: If all of the clean-living Mexicans come across the border and leave only the drug lords and their puppets behind, what do you think those drug lords and puppets will do next? The fact is, they’re already jumping the borders themselves and committing murder and mayhem in Phoenix, Nogales, Tucson and other border cities. Obama and his Czarist cronies in the White House are responding with yawns and shrugs.

We have a major problem here that is not only brewing, it’s beginning to boil.

Those of us who live up north are able to watch the horrors and atrocities oozing forth from the border and to say, “Gosh, gee whilikers, those folks down there are having a tough time of it.” If you are afraid of the American gang activities going on across the country right now, wait until these Mexican gangs and drug lords bring their forms of onslaught to a street near you. The Obama Administration has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that it is either incapable of giving the issue proper response or it simply doesn’t care how much turmoil we have in America.

It’s time for us to take the bull by the horns and to start demanding action from Congress. We need a large number of troops on the boarder and we need to be partnering with the Mexican government to help them clean this mess up… whether their government wants our help or not. Only when the drug lords are killed or locked up can peace return to the Mexican countryside and only then can the pressure for Mexicans to cross the border into the United States be diminished.

If there is a war to be fought anywhere, the one closest to home should take precedence. If there is anyone to blame in America for this mess, it’s the incumbent in the White House and his allies in the Congress.
