Without going into long, drawn-out details, TOWNHALL.COM has reported that Catherine Anaya of Washington D.C.'s CBS 5 claimed that the White House asks the press and media to submit press conference questions in advance. That would seem to suggest that the White House is picking what questions they will allow and how they will be answered, or spun, in advance.
That was followed abruptly and curtly by a denial from Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, and two subsequent statements from the station and/or Anaya essentially retracting their story. It is a well-known fact that the Obama White House does run roughshod over the press and cuts them no slack. The Justice Department has gone so far as to monitor telephone calls from the Associated Press and Fox News correspondent James Rosen in an effort to obtain their sources.
This whole scenario smacks of a telephone call from the White House to the station threatening a fine or even the loss of their broadcast license unless they squelched the story. One thing is for certain: With the White House censoring press questions, our country has advanced to being a socialistic, fascist dictatorship and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
