Frankly, I don't believe any one of the officers involved in the Freddie Gray case is guilty, at least according to the evidence as I know it. They should never have been charged in the first place, but the prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, obviously has bigger political office in mind and decided to make a grand-stand speech right after the event, in which she pledged "swift justice" for the officers. Since that moment, there have been many allegations of prosecutorial misconduct.
Sadly, we now have a mistrial and Mosby has painted herself into a corner from which she simply must push forward with another trial. For her, there's too much to lose; her reputation, shabby as it may be, is on the political line.
