Ibrahim al-Qosi was released from Gitmo in July of 2012. According to the BBC, the 50-year-old man
from Sudan admitted that he had worked as bin Laden's bodyguard in
Afghanistan and helped him avoid capture by US forces. He was also bin Laden's personal cook. He was released to Sudan with assurances by U.S. authorities that he would be closely monitored and posed no future threat.
al-Qosi is now a top leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
The only real surprise here is that Obama did not hire him to be the White House chef. But remember... every darned one of those Syrian refugees headed our way is also going to be "no threat."
