NSA COMES UP LAME

The government agency with the fastest computer in the world, with enough available memory to suck up every byte of information ever created about 15 times over, is unable to respond to Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests because it cannot search its own emails, according to Cindy Blacker, FOIA Official for the NSA.  The way the files are set up, she insists, makes it virtually impossible to to an effective search for information.  

Sounds to me like we're the ones being set up.  I mean, isn't that beyond preposterous? 

ANOTHER BENGHAZI HERO IDENTIFIED

One of the most severely wounded survivors of the Benghazi terror attack, Diplomatic Security agent David Ubben, risked his life to help save his fellow Americans, and is still being treated at Walter Reed medical center to this day, Fox News has learned.  Ubben went back into the burning Consulate to rescue the body of Sean Smith and was on the rooftop with Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty defending the compound.  

The State Department is refusing access to the Congressional Committee investigating the Benghazi Massacre.  Our government is acting like Mafioso thugs, daring us to do anything about it. 

"PHONY SCANDALS"

Emperor Barack Husein Obama declared all scandals to be phony history yesterday and declared that the nation must turn its attention to jobs.  He stopped short of adding, "Or else." 

I see.  The IRS admission that it had been targeting conservative groups and groups with "Tea Party" or "Patriot" in their names did not take place?  We never heard it?  The NSA admission that it has been collecting all of this data, the DOJ admission that it targeted the Associated Press and FOX... all of those scandals never existed and none of those "confessions" occurred.  

So, it turns out, there is no one to blame.  That's a pretty darned convenient position to take on the day that we found out that William Wilkins, his political appointee as Chief Counsel at the IRS, met with Obama personally before Wilkins issued a list of new targets and strategies to the IRS, as the White House visitor's log of April 23rd attests.   Then, of course, there was the initial White House denial that such a meeting took place; now, the story is that the IRS was not discussed?  Why was Wilkins there, except maybe for an Easter Egg roll?  

I should add that this is the umpteenth time Obama has turned to the issue of jobs since he took office, but he has yet to do anything for jobs. 

Well, he IS the Emperor and whatever he proclaims or declares is the law of the land, right? 

SCANDALGATE UPDATE

FOX NEWS is reporting that General Carter Ham, then in charge of U.S. forces in Africa, says that it was "quickly" evident that the Benghazi attack was the act of terrorists.  “It became apparent to all of us quickly that this was not a demonstration, this was a violent attack,” Ham said.  He refused to speculate as to why Hillary Clinton insisted that it was a demonstration as a result of the infamous anti-Muslim video.  

The NATIONAL REVIEW is reporting that Community Organizers will have access to all of the information about you contained in the Federal Data Bank.  Ostensibly, this will enable them to contact you and make sure you are enrolled for ObamaCare.  "Community Organizers" represent to me the well-known organization of "ACORN."  I don't care what the damned reason is, this is a blatant, unconstitutional invasion of my privacy!

THE MUCK OF THE SCANDALS IS GROWING

As reported here, Marine Colonel George Bristol was in charge of Special Operations Forces in Northern Africa on the night of the Benghazi, Libya terror attack and Congress wanted to talk with him to see what he knew.  The Pentagon said that Bristol was retired, entitled to his privacy and refused to tell Congress where to contact him.  

Congressman Lindsay Graham discovered last week that Bristol was NOT retired; we had been told another damned lie.  After a whole lot of coughing and hacking, the Pentagon has put Congress in touch with Bristol, who will be called to testify.  

In the meanwhile, there's another scandal brewing in Homeland Security involving the acting Inspector General who has been blowing a ton of our cash and who hired his wife and has allowed her to work from home.  

Meanwhile, there's a report floating about that says the IRS Chief Counsel who was appointed by the Obama Camp was at the White House for a meeting just two days before he drafted a new targeting list for the IRS. 

Looks to me like the whole damned Administration is corrupt from the top down.  And that includes Congress, because they're not doing anything except hissing, huffing and puffing. 

THE INEVITABLE QUESTION IS...

Is Holder investigating the Justice Department targeting of the press and media?

Is Holder investigating the EPA scandal?  The IRS scandal?  The NSA scandal?  The DOS scandal? The Benghazi Massacre?  

Well, then, why is he so hot to trot in investigating and prosecuting George Zimmerman? 

STATE DEPARTMENT AGENCY ON LIFE SUPPORT

An obscure little State Department agency whose work is called "critical to the Department's information security posture" has been in a shambles for years, and is still in chaos, according to FOX NEWS and an audit report by the department's inspector general released Thursday.  The security checks that the agency is supposed to perform and subsequent approvals for use that it is supposed to bestow every three years on 36 of those State Department systems have lapsed entirely, meaning that they are operating, in effect, illegally.

The Office of Information Assurance of the State Department's Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM/IA) staff apparently has no sense of what security functions their unit is actually required to perform, has failed for years to update information security manuals used by thousands of other State Department personnel, and has often left important details about the  vulnerability of  State's  information systems where they can be accessed by  people with lower-level security classifications.  

 

The problems and scandals emanating out of Washington these days are systemic, meaning they are very wide-spread, pervasive and either tolerated or directed from the very top.  It's fine to poke fun at Obama and his goons, but the fact of the matter is that our national security had been badly damaged and our standing among nations has become a water-cooler joke. 

IRS SCANDAL PRACTICALLY AT WHITE HOUSE STEPS

As expected, testimony on The Hill yesterday revealed that a top political appointee of the White House at the IRS was "in charge" of delaying all applications from conservative groups.  Carter Hull, a top administrator at the IRS said that he was taking orders from William Wilkins, the political appointee and Chief Counsel for the IRS.  Hull repeatedly said that he was not told specifically to hold up applications. But he confirmed that after meeting with the chief counsel's office, applications were eventually taken out of his control and forwarded on for "further review," which he said rarely occurred.

The committee also heard from Elizabeth Hofacre from the Cincinnati Office and Inspector General J. Russell George, who originally spilled the beans.  Democrats spared no words in trying to blame George for starting a political vendetta against the President, but failed to address the fact that the bad news came out after the November elections and not before. 

It was clear from the testimony that Lois Lerner is a central figure in everything that has been reported so far.  Although she claimed the Fifth Amendment when called to testify last month, Committee Chairman Darrell Issa has said he intends to call her back. 

My guess is that William Wilkins and Lois Lerner will soon be awarded Executive Privilege by Obama. 

HOLDER'S GAG ORDER ON NSA

Microsoft has written a letter to Eric Holder asking him to remove the gag order imposed by the Attorney General against companies that have been collecting data on Americans for the government's National Security Agency.  I didn't even know the gag order existed, it was so gagged.   The letter says the incredible secrecy prevents the company from telling the truth about the program -- to the detriment of America itself.  

Microsoft says it has resisted the government where it could: It does not provide the government with direct access to its servers and it did not give the government keys to its encryption.  

It is obvious that this Administration is going to continue to do what it wants, when it wants, and to whom it wants... whether it's legal or not. 

JUSTICE REFUSES TO PROSECUTE I.R.S. CASE

A government watchdog is alleging that the Department of Justice, once made aware of at least one case where the I.R.S. improperly accessed the tax records of a political donor or candidate, refused to prosecute.  Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, wants to know if that DOJ decision was "politically motivated."

In a related development, the word is that a Thursday Congressional hearing is going to produce blockbuster information because it will show that instructions for audits of political donors or candidates and refusals to issue tax exempt status to conservative groups came from the "highest echelons" in Washington.  IRS agent Elizabeth Hofacre, who works in the agency's Cincinnati office, is said to be ready to excoriate her D.C. bosses.

Hello. My name is Ed Snowden. A little over one month ago, I had family, a home in paradise, and I lived in great comfort. I also had the capability without any warrant to search for, seize, and read your communications. Anyone’s communications at any time. That is the power to change people’s fates.

It is also a serious violation of the law. The 4th and 5th Amendments to the Constitution of my country, Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and numerous statutes and treaties forbid such systems of massive, pervasive surveillance. While the US Constitution marks these programs as illegal, my government argues that secret court rulings, which the world is not permitted to see, somehow legitimize an illegal affair. These rulings simply corrupt the most basic notion of justice – that it must be seen to be done. The immoral cannot be made moral through the use of secret law. 

I believe in the principle declared at Nuremberg in 1945: "Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience. Therefore individual citizens have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring."

Accordingly, I did what I believed right and began a campaign to correct this wrongdoing. I did not seek to enrich myself. I did not seek to sell US secrets. I did not partner with any foreign government to guarantee my safety. Instead, I took what I knew to the public, so what affects all of us can be discussed by all of us in the light of day, and I asked the world for justice.

That moral decision to tell the public about spying that affects all of us has been costly, but it was the right thing to do and I have no regrets.

Since that time, the government and intelligence services of the United States of America have attempted to make an example of me, a warning to all others who might speak out as I have. I have been made stateless and hounded for my act of political expression. The United States Government has placed me on no-fly lists. It demanded Hong Kong return me outside of the framework of its laws, in direct violation of the principle of non-refoulement – the Law of Nations. It has threatened with sanctions countries who would stand up for my human rights and the UN asylum system. It has even taken the unprecedented step of ordering military allies to ground a Latin American president’s plane in search for a political refugee. These dangerous escalations represent a threat not just to the dignity of Latin America, but to the basic rights shared by every person, every nation, to live free from persecution, and to seek and enjoy asylum.

Yet even in the face of this historically disproportionate aggression, countries around the world have offered support and asylum. These nations, including Russia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Ecuador have my gratitude and respect for being the first to stand against human rights violations carried out by the powerful rather than the powerless. By refusing to compromise their principles in the face of intimidation, they have earned the respect of the world. It is my intention to travel to each of these countries to extend my personal thanks to their people and leaders.

I announce today my formal acceptance of all offers of support or asylum I have been extended and all others that may be offered in the future. With, for example, the grant of asylum provided by Venezuela’s President Maduro, my asylee status is now formal, and no state has a basis by which to limit or interfere with my right to enjoy that asylum. As we have seen, however, some governments in Western European and North American states have demonstrated a willingness to act outside the law, and this behavior persists today. This unlawful threat makes it impossible for me to travel to Latin America and enjoy the asylum granted there in accordance with our shared rights.

This willingness by powerful states to act extra-legally represents a threat to all of us, and must not be allowed to succeed. Accordingly, I ask for your assistance in requesting guarantees of safe passage from the relevant nations in securing my travel to Latin America, as well as requesting asylum in Russia until such time as these states accede to law and my legal travel is permitted. I will be submitting my request to Russia today, and hope it will be accepted favorably.

HERE'S WHO IS TO BLAME FOR ZIMMERMAN VERDICT

Ben Kruidbos, the Information Technology (IT) Director for the Florida State Attorney General's Office has been fired for revealing that the office withheld crucial evidence favoring George Zimmerman.  He said he was worried prosecutors didn’t turn over information about deleted images and text messages he recovered from Trayvon Martin’s cell phone, including photos of a hand holding a gun and a plant that looked like marijuana. 

Like Edward Snowden, the friends of the Administration seek to marginalize and punish those who stand up for what is right. 

ANOTHER PENTAGON BENGHAZI COVERUP

Ever since the Benghazi Massacre, every Administration agency even remotely involved with the event has been stalling and stonewalling.   We already know that outright lies were told and that the perpetrator, Susan Rice, is being rewarded for doing so through a promotion to the President's National Security Adviser.  We also know that there were witnesses on the ground in the Consulate and that they are now back stateside, some still under medical care, and that the Administration is refusing to name them or allow access to them. 

Marine Colonel George Bristol was in a key position that night; as such, he's high in the list of people the House would like to talk with.  But, he's now retired.  Since he's retired, the Pentagon has no idea where he is or how to reach him.  Oh, my.  They can tell you how many times the IRS Director visited the White House, who he talked to, who he emailed, who he voted for and how much he gave to candidates, but... they have no idea where a Marine Colonel is.  Members of Congress in both the House and Senate, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., have asked the Pentagon for assistance in locating Bristol so that they can question him about events the night of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi; but those efforts have come up empty.  

I keep saying that when and if we ever get to the bottom of the Benghazi story, Obama will be out.  And, I insist, that is where our efforts must be directed, getting to the bottom of that night. 

ZIMMERMAN VERDICT

The Prosecution went to great lengths to blame the verdict on the jury.  Somehow, I think that's what American justice is all about.  So, why the blame? 

IS MORSI TO BLAME FOR BENGHAZI?

WND.COM is reporting that a letter by a top Libyan official blames the attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens on Mohamed Morsi, the now deposed president of Egypt.  What follows is a translation of that letter.

The initial investigation shows that the membership of the group [belongs] to the jihadist group Ansar Sharia in Egypt which was established and led by Egyptian cleric Marjan Salem.

In addition, there were extremely crucial information as to the financial sources of this group and the planners and executers of the operation which carried out the breaking and entering of the American Consulate in Benghazi and killing all occupants including the desecration of their bodies in revenge for the film which was produced by the Crusaders who produced the film that insults the Messenger, Peace and Prayers be upon Him. The most distinguished names that were obtained from the confessions by members of the cell, is the person, the President of Egypt, Muhammad Morsi, Safwat Hijazy and Saudi businessman Mansour Bin Kadasa, the owner of Al-Nas TV station, Muhammad Hassan, previous candidate Hazim Salah Abu-Ismael, Egyptian attorney named Mamdouh Ismael, Egyptian cleric Atef Abdul Rashid, and other personalities. We also promise your Excellency to exert all our efforts to complete all the investigations and place the final report with your Excellency with 48 hours, Lord willing.

ANOTHER DOJ DIRTY DEED

News came out Wednesday that the Department of Justice, at our expense, funded a group of demonstrators that went to Sanford, Florida in March and April of 2010 for the express purpose of stirring up support for Trayvon Martn.  Records obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch, under the Freedom of Information Act, showed that members of the Justice Department's Community Relations Service were sent to Sanford in March and April of 2012 to help manage protests. 

"These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a statement posted on the watchdog group's website. "My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially charged demonstrations." 

Is there no end to the continuing revelations of illegal and unethical activities being perpetrated by the various agencies of this Administration?  I wonder why they're going to lay the blame on for this?

PROPOSED I.R.S. BUDGET CUTS ARE A SHAM ON AMERICA

The proposal by the House to cut the budget of the Internal Revenue Service by $3 billion is just about the dumbest move I have ever heard of. 

To begin with, it leaves in place those responsible for the lavish spending, the conservative targeting, the mis-publication of social security numbers and other sins.  Cutting the budget is not going to stop what has been going on and continues to go on; the mentality of these people is that they will cut some payroll and keep on with "business as usual."  

This amounts to an end-run around the responsibility to investigate and assign blame and to punish those responsible.  It is an abrogation of oversight authority and totally leaves the American public without a due and proper resolution of the matter.  

This Congress refuses, absolutely refuses, to come to grips with the fact that we have an out-of-control  runaway government that can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants.  Are we to accept cutting the budget of State, E.P.A., D.O.J., N.S.A. and the rest of the gang as being the answer to misfeasance and malfeasance in office?  Are our elected officials too afraid of Obama and his goon squad to throw the bums out? 

IRS PUBLISHES 100,000 SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS

In a direct violation of the law, the IRS published the names and social security numbers of some 100,000 donors to tax-exempt political groups.  An IRS spokesman says they are evaluating and assessing the situation.  

Now then, why do you suppose the IRS had isolated a list of contributors to tax-exempt political organizations in the first place?  Obviously, they intended to use it for something.  I'd like to know how many people on that list are now undergoing audits, wouldn't you?   I wonder if I write a letter asking for my donation back, they will take my name off the list.  For some reason, I feel like there's a target on my back.    

SNAIL MAIL ALSO BEING MONITORED

Leslie James Pickering, a former member of a radical environmental group labeled eco-terrorists by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and called the Earth Liberation Front, told the New York Times that he found a misplaced card in his mailbox last September which indicated that the United States Postal Service was monitoring his mail.  As it turns out, there are two major programs for monitoring your mail.  The original, called Mail Covers and its successor, the Mail Isolation Control and Tracking program, photograph the front of every piece of mail that moves in the U.S. and keeps digital track of who sent it and where it was sent to.  That amounted to somewhere near 160 billion pieces of mail last year.  

Who eventually gets this information, or who has access to it and how long it is maintained and where.... are questions that the government is so far refusing to answer.  So much for the Fourth Amendment?  

WHILE YOU WERE PARTYING...

They always like the stincking stuff that can't pass the smell test to ooze out when the press and media are not paying attention and while we are out partying. 

Well, we all know that Barry and Eric told Robert Mueller and the FBI to be the ones to investigate the IRS.  Then we know that a few weeks later, Robert was asked who was in charge of the investigation and he didn't have the slightest idea.  Then, of course, there was Lois Lerner, who batted her eyes at Congress and told them how innocent she was, and then pleaded the Fifth Amendment. 

Wednesday, just as the parties were starting and the press and the media ran out of stuff to report on the Zimmerman trial, someone brought out the point that the FBI has yet to talk to any of the conservative groups or individuals that were targeted for audits or delayed issuance of a 501 (c) (4) status.  And by Thursday, while we were all headed to the convenience store to reload on party materials, Lois "The Innocent," faced with a potential Contempt of Congress citation, suggested that she might be willing to go ahead and testify after all... if she's granted immunity from prosecution for what she has to say. 

And then I started to think... Is this all just one big, fat charade, or what?  First, there was Fast & Furious.  Eric and his boys rushed out, gathered all of the evidence and stonewalled Congress.  Eric even received a Contempt of Congress Citation over that, and where did that get us?  Assertion of Executive Privilege by Barry.  And all of the huffing and puffing from Congress that, by God, we ARE going to get to the bottom of this, Fast & Furious is ancient history, relegated to the "stories that might have been." 

Did the FBI ever really investigate the Benghazi Massacre, or was that also just a dog and pony show, and where is all of THAT evidence?  Has the FBI even decided yet to assign one agent... any agent... to the IRS investigation?  Will the DOJ ever investigate the DOJ, and who's in charge of that evidence?  What about the NSA surveillance of Americans and who, besides the Billy Graham organization, has actually been surveilled?  Is all of this huffing and puffing by Congress just all for show?  Are Barry, Eric and Congress simply massaging the public prostates?  

Are we simply figments of our own imaginations?  Do we care?  Will we ever have had enough of all of this horseshit?

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has apologized for telling Congress the National Security Agency doesn’t gather data on millions of Americans. 

Another of many lies told to us, many under oath, by our civil servants who refuse to stand up and take the blame for the errors of their ways.  I just wish one of them, any one of them, would have the guts and the courage to stand up and tell us why they did the things they did and who told them to do them. 

And they are puzzled as to why they all disgust us? 

A NEW BENGHAZI THEORY

DEMOCRACY NOW reports that a new book is suggesting that the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three others at Benghazi last year was the result of "blowback" over a secret assassination operation in North Africa run by the U.S. under Obama's direction.  Stevens was evidently unaware of the scheme.  It sounds plausible. 

Yes, it's going on a year... July 11th will be 10 months of successful stonewalling on the part of Obama and his goon squad. 

QUESTION OF THE YEAR

Will the Democratic controlled U.S. Senate ratify the signing by Obama of the U.N. Small Arms Weapons Treaty and throw the 2nd Amendment into chaos?  And, if so, what will our illustrious Supreme Court do about it? 

And, who will be to blame if it all comes to pass? 

ADDING INSULT TO INJURY

It was just a matter of time.  Here we have the I.R.S. running around targeting conservative groups and individuals for tax audits, denying due process to applicants for exempt status, partying high on the taxpayer's dollar, sounding more and more like storm troopers every day.  Now, we're putting them in charge of the ObamaCare National Bank.  This is like throwing gasoline onto the fire. 

Well, some jackass has decided to take it one step further.  The elite liberal government has determined that we are too fat.  Never mind the fact that we are living longer than we ever have, we are too fat.  Some obscure bureaucrat in Kathleen Sibelius' basement has computed a finite point for every American as to what is NOT too fat.  It's only natural then, that the IRS should find a way to tax that extra weight in the "best interests of national health." 

The proposal is that sugary foods and beverages, foods with high calorie counts, fatty foods, fried foods and anything else deemed to be likely to make you gain weight shall be taxed at a premium rate.  So, a diet cola may cost you 40 cents but a regular cola would cost you $1.40.  Processed meats, such as hot dogs, would cost you an arm, a leg and then some. 

And these contrite, condescending bastards look at you with such smiling faces, patting you lightly on the head while telling you how much happier you are going to be.  

I don't know about you, but I have no intentions of being nice and polite, part of the silent majority anymore.  I've had enough.  

LIBERAL GROUPS ALSO TARGETED BY I.R.S.

The word sifted around the Capitol this week that the claim the I.R.S. targeted only conservative groups was clearly wrong; according to the "word," progressive and liberal groups were targeted as well.  So, we presume, everything is equal and no blame exists?  

According to Russell George, the Inspector General from the Department of Treasury who initially looked into all of this, that's correct.  The I.R.S. targeted 292 conservative organizations and 6... that's six... liberal or progressive organizations.  Wow, don't we all stand corrected? 

ANOTHER I.R.S. FABLE?

For the past six weeks, the I.R.S. has been willing to admit that it targeted conservative groups and individuals for tax audits and that it has been deliberately withholding tax exempt status under 501 (c) (4) status for tea parties groups and others critical of the Administration.  Now, out of the clear blue, after another top I.R.S. official takes the 5th, the story is put forth that the targeting was for both conservative and liberal groups. 

To me, that's a tad late and a really convenient.  Gosh, we just don't know WHO to blame anymore, do we? 

ANOTHER I.R.S. OFFICIAL ESCAPES BLAME

Greg Roseman, a Senior I.R.S. official, allegedly awarded the largest contract in I.R.S. history to a close friend of his.  Strong Castle, Inc., owned by Braulio Castillo, won several contracts totaling almost $500 million for I.R.S.  information technology services on the basis of his friendship with Roseman and by qualifying for two minority programs that allow disadvantaged applicants a better chance of winning lucrative government contracts.  Both of those qualifications were allegedly falsified. 

Before you jump the gun and blame Roseman for anything, you need to know that he's not to blame.  In fact, just to prove his innocence, he became the second I.R.S. top dog to plead the Fifth Amendment before a Congressional Committee yesterday.  The first, Lois Lerner, got suspended indefinitely and with full pay, pending further investigation.  My presumption is that Roseman will get the same treatment, which is fair because, by their pleas they proved their "Snow White" innocence. 

Sometime after Hillary gets out of office in 2024, maybe they'll finish off the investigation and put these two back on the job.  Don't hold your breath.  

OBAMA CHANGES THE SUBJECT

Now that the country has forgotten all about Fast & Furious, Obama is hesitant to start pushing for gun control again. How deftly Obama has changed the course of daily conversation from Benghazi, to a whole slew of scandals, to Snowden, and now to coal.   You see, he may sound and act like a psycho, but he's really quite clever.  And, when the going gets tough, he gets going... this time to Africa.  How can you point the finger of blame at him if you can't find him?

GUN CONTROL TURN ABOUT

Gun owners rejoice: we have a significant convert. 

Larry Morrisey, Mayor of Chicago suburb Rockford, Illinois, announced at a town hall forum Saturday he had dropped out of Mayors For Illegal Guns, the gun-control group begun by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, after realizing the group is more interested in infringing on Americans’ Second Amendment rights than in making sure that criminals don’t “illegally” get their hands on firearms.  He told a crowd that he intends to apply for an Illinois concealed carry permit — an announcement that garnered him a roar of applause. 

The way the liberal-left meat heads portray it, we law-abiding gun owners should have already committed over a million homicides this year.  Bodies should be piling up at mortuaries faster than they can bury them.  Thank God Department of Homeland Security bought up all of that ammo, or this would probably be a fact, right? 

I am hoping that the country of non-gun owners is finally coming to grips with the fact that people kill people and guns are merely the instruments.  And the millions of us who are law-abiding gun owners should not be made to blame for the actions of the few. 

KILL THE I.R.S. STORY

Of all the scandals currently engaging the Obama Administration, the single one most likely to create rage in the citizenry is the I.R.S. targeting of conservative groups and individuals.  Anybody who has studied Obama at all knows that he will not take responsibility for anything, whether it occurred under his watch or not.  So, it should come as no surprise that there has been an overt attempt on the part of the Democrats to "shut the I.R.S. story off, and pronto Tonto."  

The Lone Ranger came to the rescue in the form of  Democrat Elijah Cummings who proclaimed that there's actually no need for an investigation, the story's over, the mystery is solved.  From that moment on, the media seems to have dropped the I.R.S. story like a hot potato.  One would have to assume that they've been threatened with an I.R.S. audit and wiretapping of their cell phones if they so much as whisper a word about the story.  Certainly, given the plethora of media available, one would certainly expect that at least a dozen would break ranks and go after the story.  

One thing is certain; what we know now about the I.R.S. abuse is only the tip of the iceberg.  We didn't start getting to the facts of coverup in Fast & Furious or the Benghazi Massacre for a lot of weeks after the events became public.  I think, given those time schedules, that we are just now getting to the point of real discovery of the facts on the I.R.S. matter.  It will be a full scale pandemonium of denial at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW as the slimey details ooze out.  

As it stands right now, the blame on this one will probably go to the Oval Office.  

NSA TARGETED OBAMA

Russ Tice, a former intelligence analyst and Bush-era NSA whistleblower, claimed Wednesday that the intelligence community has ordered surveillance on a wide range of groups and individuals, including high-ranking military officials, lawmakers and diplomats.  He even alleges that NSA went after Barack Hussein Obama in 2004.  FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds and Tice agreed that such wide-ranging surveillance of officials could provide the intelligence agencies with unthinkable power to blackmail their opponents, according to THE BLAZE. 

Well, I suppose the Democrats will come forward now and try to say, "See, it's okay.  They went after Obama, why can't they go after Marco Rubio or Sarah Palin.  New talking points: "Everything is okay at the NSA."  

And no, Obama would never use the NSA against his enemies; he believes in a totally open and transparent Administration.  He did say that, so it must be true. 

Well, I doubt the veracity of Tice's claim.  If the NSA was engaged in eavesdropping on Obama, how come we still don't know where he was born? 

IS F.B.I. RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTER'S DEATH?

Reporter Michael Hastings was the one who broke the 2010 story in THE ROLLING STONE that forced General Stanley McChrystal to resign.  Certainly, for that story and others he created about Afghanistan and Iraq, he was no friend of the Administration.  Hastings notified the WikiLeaks lawyer that he was certain he was being investigated by the F.B.I.  Hours later on Tuesday, June 18th, hastings was killed in a mysterious auto crash in Los Angeles.  A witness said Hastings was speeding and ran a red light before the crash.  

Was he trying to shake a F.B.I. tail?  The F.B.I. has refused to confirm or deny there was on ongoing investigation of Hastings and it will take up to six weeks before the final cause of the accident is released. 

James Rosen may be luckier than he knows. 

NOW, THEY ADMIT THEY'RE USING DRONES ON US

The damned stories just keep on getting worse, day-by-day.  "Our footprint is very small, and we have very few and of limited use, and we're exploring not only the use but also the necessary guidelines for that use," said Mueller , answering a question from Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.  

Yes, they only monitored Associated Press, not anyone else, (lie).  No, Holder didn't know about it, (lie).  The I.R.S. scandal originated in Cincinnati; Washington didn't have the slightest idea about it, (lie).  The White House didn't know anything about it, (lie).  E.P.A. was an innocent mistake, (lie).  Department of State didn't cover up anything, (lie).  Benghazi was the result of an anti-Muslim video, (outrageous lie). 

And now, this?  Whose definition of "limited?"  Who is defining "necessary?"  And, "We're working on guidelines," Mueller said.  JUST WHO IN THE SAM HELL IS GOING TO APPROVE THOSE GUIDELINES AND MONITOR THEM?  Well, no guidelines, no blame, right? 

THE NSA SHUCK AND DUCK

The basic question was, "Does the NSA actively go through citizen emails and telephone records without reason?"  And the answer was, essentially:  "We don't have the authority to do that." 

Well, they may not have the authority to do that, but I'd like to know if they do it anyway.  I've head that response a lot lately from different agencies: "We don't have the authority to do that."  That doesn't answer the question and the fact that the ploy was used at all leads me to suspect the worst. 

Hopefully, one of these days maybe they'll quit the damned game playing and get around to what actually happened at Benghazi, etc, etc, etc. 

OBAMA SNUBS NOSE AT SCANDALS

The President, embroiled in several scandals undoubtedly of his own making, is finally taking some action: He's going to go ahead and close GITMO, the Guantanamo Naval Base prison for terrorists.  He's doing so although Congress has voted its displeasure by refusing to fund the closure, which means he'll be taking the money from some other appropriation.  

He has now chosen a well-known and high-powered attorney to head up the effort; Clifford Sloan is the pick to reopen the State Department's Office of Guantanamo Closure, shuttered since January and folded into the department's legal adviser's office when the administration, in the face of congressional obstacles, effectively gave up its attempt to close the prison.  But, he's now bound and determined to make it happen and he doesn't gave a hoot about what the country thinks; despite the fact that previous transfers of prisoners to their home countries has resulted in their total release from captivity and return to terrorism, Obama intends to release all 86 of the remaining prisoners to their home countries.  Many of them are notorious for their outrageous acts of terrorism.  

Frankly, I take it as an outright dare from him for us to try and do something about it. 

NSA SPYING EXCLUDES MOSQUES

Although the NSA has no bars against monitoring Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, U.S. mosques have been off limits since October of 2011 when, bowing to pressure from Islamic organizations, the "Sensitive Operations Review Committee" ordered all security surveillance operations of mosques to be off-limits.  This is a highly secret committee; no one even knows who its members are.  It was established at the request of the Administration to help build closer ties with the Islamic community.  

WHAT A GOD DAMNED OUTRAGE!

OBAMA JOINS AL QAEDA

I know there will be hell to pay over this post.  The fact of the matter is that many of the Syrian rebels are Al Qaeda and Obama is going to help them. 

Now, the atrocities in Syria are just that; atrocious.  But, we didn't need to be in this situation and would not have been in this position if Obama had not so artfully shucked and ducked for the past four years.  I'm sorry, but this is one time that The Unknown Scribbler is going to say that we need to stay the hell out of this.  It's too late and the risks are too high.  Blame Obama for that. 

Even if we manage to create a win, we will be saddled with enemies. 

THEY DON'T KNOW?

Watching the parade of witnesses testifying in Congress that they "don't know," or "can't recall, " one has to wonder what they're doing with all of the fancy electronic snooping into everything these days.  They're into emails, cell phone records, donations to conservative organizations, membership in the NRA and lengths of time you spend on the commode.  They know what kind of car you drive, how many tickets you've had, whether you've ever had a sexually transmitted disease, whether you are a candidate for shingles, what magazines you read, what movies you rent or produce... It's amazing what they know about you. 

But, put them under oath in front of Congress and... All of the sudden, they don't know nothin'. 

Amazing, isn't it? 

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE

America is starving for the truth.  It's too damned bad that we have to hear it from a high school drop out.  And now, instead of declaring him to be a national hero, we have all of those liars and perpetrators of harm to our country rising in a chorus of attempts at smearing the lad.  And, we have a nation's capitol full of politicians caught flat-footed by the revelations who are trying to regain some composure and save some face. 

The press and the media, smelling the blood of an Administration-orchestrated blitz of "treason," are ignoring the quest for truth and beating their drums for the arrest and hanging of Snowden. Some wise guy suggested yesterday that Obama might order a drone to go after Snowden and why not? He IS on foreign soil, you know.  

Well, the truth is that the most transparent administration in history is actually the most opaque.  The word "change" has morphed into "oppress."  Like it or not, the word "citizens" now means "subjects." 

NOW IT'S A PIOUS "WE CAN'T DO THAT"

"There is no way that we can collect data on American citizens without a warrant.  We can't do that because it is against the law.  For the same reason, we can't leak any of that information or use it against you, because that's against the law.  The fact that those things happened in some few cases at I.R.S., E.P.A. and D.O.J. has nothing to do with it; they were inadvertent errors.  Now, that concludes our investigations and these issues are are cleared up.  Trust us; everything is fine.  Go home and go to bed; rest well because your country is in our hands." 

BLAME THE SNITCH!

You know as well as I do that when the kids are quiet, they're up to no good.  That's why barns burn down, because the kids are out there trying to light up a smoke where nobody can see them.  And so it is, far too many misdeeds in the world have been accomplished in a back room where no one knew what was going on and the door was kept closed in the same of secrecy.  

What we have learned in the last two months about the way our government is doing things is appalling to say the least.  And here come all of those childlike excuses, "I didn't do it!" "Holder did it!" "But, we're cleaning the mess up, so it's okay!" "If Bush did it, why can't WE do it?"  

Followed by defiant, but unproven justification: "National security."  "We kept Winnemucca, Nevada from being bombed because of our program!"  For some reason you don't hear any claims about how the Boston Bombing was prevented due to our highly-skilled gathering and storing of information, our I.R.S. targeting of conservative organizations or our snooping into the phone calls at the A.P. 

Finally, the ultimate kid defense:  "It's just not fair!  If that dirty snitch Snowden hadn't leaked the information about what was going on, Americans wouldn't know the barn was about to burn down and we wouldn't be having this conversation.  Come on, dad!  Get real!" 

How about this one?  "If it wasn't for our top secret data gathering and intrusion into the news media, we never would have been able to to identify that video as being the cause of the Benghazi Massacre." 

NOW WE KNOW WHO TO BLAME

THERE DOESN'T NEED TO BE ANY BLAME

Now the story morphs into there doesn't need to be any blame at all.  You see, the intrusion into your phone records, debit cards and credit cards, emails and videos.... all of that is justified under the need for national security.  It's all okay and there's nothing to worry about.  There's no tyranny intended.  Wink, wink. 

SO, OUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY NO LONGER EXISTS?

They justify the grab of Verizon phone records on the basis of national security.  They seize records from Yahoo, Microsoft, You Tube, Google and five other major Internet providers and justify that seizure on the basis of national security. 

If these claims are true, why did the Benghazi Massacre or the Boston bombings take place? 

VERIZON CUSTOMERS TARGETED: RED HERRING?

That National Security Agency did a blanket, top-secret subpoena to grab all cell phone records of all Verizon customers.  The NSA and White House are insisting they had the right to do so under the Patriot Act; however, the subpoena was overly broad and was an obvious fishing expedition.  The White House further says that no conversations were intercepted; only names of subscribers, phone numbers called, dates and times called and lengths of conversation were recorded.  

As if that is a legal excuse and, therefore they're not to blame?  

I understand the concept of trying to stop terrorist acts, but have to wonder why the feds didn't supply Verizon with a list of phone numbers to watch for as far as being dialed, or particular cell numbers of those on a suspect watch list.  The information obtained would, for example, include calls from members of the press or media to and from those in government agencies.  Get the picture? 

TEA PARTIES, CONSERVATIVES ASKED FOR IT

The government fully understands that it overreached its authorities in going after Tea Parties and other conservative groups and individuals.  It realizes that its refusal to issue 501 (c) (4) status to certain organizations was targeted.  It agrees that it should not have focused on conservative tea party-type organizations for audits.  Nevertheless, the government is not to blame here.  Those organizations asked for it;  by the nature of their organization, they egged us on to do it.  They are to blame.  

Under our new system of government, changed by the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama, they don't have the right to voice their opinions and positions and therefore have no right to 501 (c) (4) status; only organizations with a liberal model which support the President's agenda have that right. 

Got that straight? 

"DIRTY RATS" NOT AIRING THEIR LAUNDRY

There is a growing number of Dirty Rats in Washington who are refusing to come clean in Congressional hearings.  The Chicago-style gangster mentality seems to be built around a code of silence second only to that of La Cosa Nostra.  You now what I mean... "If you sing, you're dead meat."  

Maybe Congress needs to start offering witness protection programs and changes of identity to some of these goons.  Yeah, I mean like... Lois Lerner could become Lois Lane. 

THE FICKLE FINGER OF FATE

Obama has been giving us the fickle finger of fate for 4+ years.  With the growing scandals and the confirmation from I.R.S. staffers that orders to pick on conservatives came from the "highest levels of Washington," it appears that the fickle finger is now pointing into the very heart of the Executive Branch.   Oh, my God: the White House calligrapher might lose his job $97,000 a year job! (You don't think Obama is going to take the blame for this, do you?) Or, maybe, they'll expunge one of the two Assistant Calligraphers who make another $180,000 a year between them.

OBAMA HAS NEVER DENIED BLAME

There's Fast & Furious, the Benghazi Massacre, the IRS targeting and the Justice attack on the press and media.  If you've been listening carefully, Obama has responded to these scandals with carefully worded statements which do not answer the questions being asked or which obliquely head off into another direction.  In the course of deflecting direct inquiry, Obama has never come out and asserted: "I did not have any knowledge of or control whatsoever" over this or that scandal.    

I think the absence of such a disclaimer by Obama speaks volumes about what we are doing with.  

VETERAN MEDICAL CLAIMS OVER A YEAR BEHIND

Veterans seeking medical care or a filing a military disability claim are backlogged for more than a year.  The current guy in charge, Eric Shinseki, claims the backlog is due to a new computer system that is not functioning properly and the fact that 97% of all claims are still being filed on paper.  He's been in charge since 2009, so he's had at least four years to fix the problem.  He must have graduated from Harvard Law School with his boss, Barack Hussein Obama. 

You now, these current administration folks probably all have blisters on their fingers from pointing the blame for their misdeeds to anyone or anything; and when it comes to meeting their responsibilities to Americans, the only fingers they seem to be able to use are their middle ones.  

ANOTHER LIE FROM JUSTICE DEPARTMENT

The Justice Department is now claiming it met is duty to notify Fox that they were the subject of an official investigation by sending a FAX to Fox and Rosen.  This story is an outright fabrication on the face of it.  Anytime the law prescribed that someone receives notice, there has to be "due process." That is accomplished by having a "process server" or officer of the court personally serve the notice or by obtaining a signed receipt from the person to whom the notice was delivered by certified or registered mail.  Sending someone a FAX or an EMAIL does not qualify unless a qualified electronic is obtained, in which case Justice would simply produce a copy of it instead of running around like a chicken with its head chopped off claiming they sent it.  That's the second oldest line in the world, right behind, "The check is in the mail." 

WE'RE NOT TO BLAME...

JUSTICE DEPARTMENT RAPIDLY SINKING IN DEEP DUNG

Well now, not only has the Justice Department been forced to admit that Holder signed off on the warrant against Fox News, but it oozes out that they begged the Judge who issued the warrant not to tell Fox or Rosen.  Ahem, that's illegal!  But wait!  Holder and Justice insist that no one, not one person let Obama in on the story, but at the same time, Holder says the intrusion was absolutely necessary necessary due to a security leak so serious that it was among the worst in his career.  Well, if he didn't notify the President over that, he's grossly negligent and incompetent.  Of course, I feel compelled to ask, "And if the leak was that bad, what in the Sam Hell was it?" Shouldn't it be international news by now? 

HOLDER TAKES THE BLAME, SORT OF

With his back against the wall after getting caught in an outright lie to Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder copped the plea yesterday and admitted that he not only knew about the Justice investigations into the press and media, but he signed the warrant to do so.  Of course, he was quick to insist that the move was legal, but if that is true, why did he deny it under oath in the first place?

ERIC HOLDER IS GUILTY

NBC News is reporting that the Department of Justice spying into FOX News was personally authorized by Eric Holder.  For that, the FCC will probably take NBC off the air, not that they don't deserve it.  

I will say that it is a major hope for America that a far-left network like NBC would bring this reporting to fruition. 

ADMINISTRATION ADMITS: DRONES USED TO KILL FOUR AMERICANS

While President Barack Hussein Obama finally said several weeks ago, under intense mounting Congressional pressure, that he would not use drones to kill Americans overseas accused of terrorist acts, the Administration is now admitting to killing four:  (1) Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical Muslim cleric who was killed in a drone strike in September 2011 in Yemen; (2) Samir Khan, who was killed in the same strike; (3) Mr. Awlaki’s son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, who was also killed in Yemen; and (4)  Jude Mohammed, who was killed in a strike in Pakistan.

Our American Constitution is clear when it provides that any American must be afforded "due process" where justice is to be dealt; that was the substance of the uproar.  It is no accident that this news oozes out now, like a bad fart in the middle of a football crowd; with all of the scandals ongoing, and with the press not covering this issue at all, Obama hopes to escape responsibility for another in a much-too-long series of outright lies.  

He'll probably blame Bush. 

SOME OF OBAMA'S HISTORY

Here's a story from the past that should make Obama squirm a little bit:  

A month or so before the 2008 election on September 29th, NEWSMAX reported that a substaintial portion of the $426.9 million Obama had amassed in his war chest had come from foreign donors who had not been vetted as legitimate.  At that time, it was the largest pile of money ever to come into a political campaign.  By the time the election was over, estimates of contributions were well above $800,000 million and some of that money had been returned to foreign donors who proved ineligible to contribute.  

But, not all foreign contributions were investigated, particularly those tens of thousands of donations under $200 which Obama refused to identify.  Nevertheless, the Federal Elections Commission, now under the total control of Obama, gave the 2008 campaign a "pass" in 2012, shortly before that election took place. 

Word has it that the vast majority of the questionable donations came from Muslim sources. 

I.R.S. IS NOT TO BLAME

FOX NEWS ran a poll yesterday about the I.R.S. and determined that 97% of the country either wants the I.R.S. drastically overhauled or abolished altogether as a result of recent revelations about the agency targeting of conservative groups for audits, etc.  

I say the I.R.S.is not the problem; it is simply one of several symptoms of a high-flying and corrupt government running amok.  Think about it: (1) the Administration has flipped its collective finger to the country by stonewalling Fast & Furious and Benghazi; (2) there's E.P.A. targeting conservative organizations and businesses; (3) there's the Justice Department illegal seizure of records from the Associated Press, and then (4) the I.R.S. thing.  Collectively taken, there is but only one conclusion: there is a culture of anti-American activity in Washington. 

Simply attacking the I.R.S. will not be a panacea for solution; that's only attacking a symptom.  The existence of such a culture can only occur under the direction of the President or under his tacit approval and so-called "turning a blind eye" to the situation.  That's the level where it starts.  That's where the blame squarely belongs.  

Now, what are we going to to about it?

Most of it was done by looking Americans square in the eye and using the middle finger.

"Don't you believe those tall stories about tyranny in government." 

I guess I'm going to be out of hibernation for awhile.  

"What difference at this point does it make?"

That hibernation didn't last very long. 

With the Justice Department scandal about illegal wiretapping and snooping of the Associated Press and its associates exploding, Attorney General Eric Holder insisted today that both he and the President had high respect and regard for the press and that they had both defended the right of free press many times in the past.

I suppose that explains why Obama ordered Valerie Jarret, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod to go after FOX NEWS, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck and to get them off the air?  That explains why the Administration lies, stonewalls and refuses to cooperate with investigators?  That explains why Obama exerted Executive Privilege to get Holder off the Fast & Furious hook... because they have such high regards for the press, the media and the truth?  

High crimes and misdemeanors: Guilty as charged. 

DESPOTISM REARS ITS UGLY HEAD AT THE I.R.S.

Well, I just can't keep my mouth shut.  

Just days after Obama told graduates at Ohio State University to quit worrying about tyranny in the U.S., the news broke that the I.R.S. has been targeting conservative groups such as the Tea Parties for tax audits.  Can you believe this? When the news broke, the White House was quick to blame Bush, five years after Bush left office!  That stunning move was followed by an I.R.S. admission of the allegations and an apology to the Tea Parties, which has thus far been refused.   

The I.R.S. has been seeking the names and addresses of donors to any organization with the phrases "patriot" or "tea party" in its name.  They are obviously intending to audit the contributors as well as the organizations in a blatantly illegal attempt to punish those who have voiced criticism of the Administration.  And it appears that the orders to do so have come from the highest echelons of our government.  

The next thing you know, the storm troopers will be marching the streets, hauling out and shooting the infidels who dare to question Obama.  We need to put a stop to this shit now; it has gotten out of hand. 

Back to hibernation.  

THE GREAT GUN LIE

Out of hibernation just long enough for a quick observation:

If Obama can get gun control, violence will stop?  In the last the days, we have had a mass stabbing at a college in Texas, the horrible bombing in Boston and someone trying to poison a U.S. Senator. And we have a President and left-wing cronies who would have us believe that gun control is the biggest single threat to America right now.

THE BIGGEST LYING HYPOCRITE OF ALL TIME

I said I was putting this blog to sleep until something big time came along, and it has. 

Last fall, the President wanted, demanded and coerced Congress and Republicans in particular into going along with a forced "Sequestration" plan.  They passed it.  HE signed it.  Now, he's trying to blame Congress and the Republicans in particular for creating it and he's telling the world about the doomsday that is going to occur on March 1st when it kicks in.  

Well, Mr. President, you got what you demanded.  Don't blame us... Just suck it up and stew in it.
